I'm not having a go but it's obvious we struggle with a low block when attacking

I don't know if this is relevant or not

I recently watched Bolivia vs Argentina and thought why aren't we doing that

Both teams were shooting from within 30 yards with good success

And the best at it was yes our enzo Fernández

I was wondering has he been told not to do it at chelsea as we lose p9cession

But surely if we hit a couple of screamers at there goal it would certainly bring there defence out make them think therefore creating a gap if someone comes out to block his shot

Obviously not all the time just a thought

No-one shoots anymore
Essien was great at it
I rather someone had a shot and missed than sideways passing for 10 mins to then lose it in the box or on the wing with no attempt on goal

Just an idea.

gola, putting aside our last game o e of the features of this seasons play is much quicker we have been in moving the ball forward.

Our CH’s needed to move the quicker at the weekend but we were very pedestrian and lacking in movement in that game.

We do need to get some wins to keep morale up and motivation and energy, beginning with Villa at home on Sunday. We should have the advantage of notb having to play in midweek, while they play in Warsaw on the Thursday.

So Poch has whole week to work with the side -preparation for Bournemouth game not helped by International break, more serious problem for a team like CFC just getting to know each other! - while Villa may with any luck be a bit tired from Polish trip.

We have to make the time when an opponent playing mideweek in Europe when we're not count. No excuse for anything but a fast and positive start on Sunday, back to puposeful pressing and focused effort and energy for whole match. We don't want a reeat of the shambles that was much of the game at Bournemouth including that shameful last minute or so when we seemd to have no desire to get the ball quickly forward when in possession in their half, making it look as though we were happy to hang on for a draw. Which perhaps was the case!

JBS, we do have this “free” week to work hard on partnerships and patterns of play.

We should also have two or three players back from injury and that con only help.

Villa are not a side who play with a low block. They press hard and look for overloads. This may well work in our favour. I can see Mudryk starting again in this game.

Anyway, I would obviously be happy with a result but I’m not overly optimistic. Fingers crossed.

Must be nice being on the club payroll tomB …with the way you've defended our ludicrous waste of money i'm starting to think the B in your username stands for boehly.

The facts are we’ve spent a billion yet do we have a single player in the top 20 in the world… for the amount spent you’d hope we’d have top class players not a collection of misfit kids who on the whole are not actually that promising… the likes of mudryk and madueke will never be world beaters you can log it now…. kids don't improve if they're getting battered week in week out …wheres the proven quality and leadership.

Take your boehly out banner to stamford bridge this weekend.

Bluekaz98 if that makes you feel any better. You are going right?

Bluekaz, I would love to be on the CFC payroll but unfortunately I’m continually overlooked for the positions I apply for. The “B” stands for Baldwin. Just to let you know he was an old CFC player who had the most marvellous nickname, SPONGE. This was due to his drinking prowess.

I must have missed something. I didn’t know we were being “battered” every week.

Not every player will be a “world beater” but I’m will be happy if they become the best they can be at CFC.

After five premiership game you feel qualified (haha) to describe the young players that have just joined our club as a “collection of misfit kids”. That sort of comment is just plain sad.

Over the years we have had many players join our club have slow starts to their CFC careers. Drogba wasn’t the legend he turned out to be in his first few games. Lamps didn’t pull up any trees in his first season and Iva wasn’t seen as anything over than cover for ages. There are obviously plenty of other players who careers started slowly at the bridge. I assume some fans would have considered them as “misfits” after five league games.

I haven’t got a clue what players would be rated in the world top 20 but I do rate Fernandez, James, Colwil, BB, Chilly, Sterling, Nkunku, Silva, CG (this season) and yes Caicedo. That isn’t to say I won’t rate the other young players but I haven’t seen enough (unlike some) to have a firm opinion yet but I will support them as they develop into CFC players.

“Proven quality and leadership”. No club can have enough leaders and we have four in my opinion. James, Chilly, Fernandez and Silva. I would like more and I hope some of our new signings step up to become leaders.

Jimbo, I did see Tommy and Charlie Cook on it big time in a club I think called The Pheasantry in the Kings Road. What legends on every level.
