Our new owners have had three windows in charge and have transformed our squad. In my opinion it was long overdue but some will see it differently.

We have supposedly spent approximately £1bn on players over the three windows but also approximately generated about £360m in player sales and loan fees over the same three windows.

So for a nett spend of £640m ish the owners have made a significant statement and investment in our clubs future and (hopefully) success.

We have a new manager who I hope can get the very best out of each player. I also hope we continue to play the progressive football we have seen over our first three Premiership games. It's been a big improvement on some of the durge we saw under some previous managers.

I will be looking for a pub to see the game today. I wish I was at the bridge to see us win but I also particularly wanted to be at this game as the Forest fans last season were amazing. The loudest and best fans I've witnessed at our ground for a long time.

So, as always. COME on MY MIGHTY BLUES.

Quite clearly the first summer window when Tommy T was in charge was a big misstep, buying players like aubameyang, KK, Cucurella and even Sterling (altho i have some hope for him), the jan and this summer window have been much better imo, and I’m actually looking forward to the season. We’re a couple players short in a ST and a GK but I think we have enough to compete for top 4. There’s a dearth of elite ST’s atm so I’m happy to trust in Jackson, Broja and Nkuku for the season.

Tom to spend over 1 billion and still be short a top keeper and striker well there's no excuses for the lack of mismanagement with the transfers i mean how many more kids do we need to sign while the first team is still short a keeper and striker its madness, there is no defending any club or owner that splashes 1 billion and is still short in 2 of the most important positions, we got rinsed and overpaid for every transfer.

Pochempire, why not give the goalkeepers we have signed a chance?

Also, we have signed a top STRIKER. He got injured but will most likely be back at Christmas. It would be a waist of recourses not to give the likes of Broja game time when he is and that will most likely be after the international break.

fuser, we will have three strikers in our squad at Christmas. We could have looked to loan a player in the interim but we didn’t. This is what squads are for.

We have signed three keepers one has played three games and two haven’t played any. Why not judge them at Christmas or better still at the end of the season.

We have jackson and nkunku broja
Poch all great players were you giving off stink when Drogba first arrived he took time and turned out a legend

Sanchez petrovic and slonnina who is on loan are all top keepers stop moaning and be thankful we have owners that care and want success by spending there money
Or maybe you'd prefer Mike Ashley get a grip give it time sound like a spoilt kid didn't get what he wanted for Xmas
I am buzzing about our new look club and look forward to this and future seasons under there reign.

The club are building for longer term success. You can see there’s a clear plan. I think there’s a level of acceptance that we’re unlikely to win the premier league in the next couple of seasons or challenge for the champions league. Which I agree with. I think even given a ST and GK that people are clamouring for we’d find it hard. Everyone knows we’ve been behind for a few seasons now.

Personally I’m happy that the current approach is the right one. I expect there are an awful lot of jealous clubs looking at what we’re building.

But problem is how patient will fans be without any trophies of close challenges for this season and perhaps next? Or even longer? After all the plan is called Vision 2030. We will have to be very patient.

Longer term plan? Which is stockpile u21s in the same positions to try and make a profit from later?

TomB and perhaps others, I think you misunderstood me. I’m all for giving our current ST’s and GK’s a season or even 2 to get there, but they ARE our weakest links by far. I have no knowledge of Maignan, and Onana at Utd has already had one big howler, so idk if it would have been worth it to spend £80m on Maignan or not. We can argue whether the money spent may have been better spent elsewhere (and to some degree I agree) but £80m on Maignan or £100m on Oblak doesn’t seem like the best decision when I truly believe that Slonina could be our 1st choice GK.

Some of the posters on here have been crying about us not signing a prolific ST (but can never name one when asked) but were also crying at the prospect of Broja being sold. Can’t have your cake and eat it ?
Kane? Never was going to happen. Levy would have charged 50% extra if at all, we all saw what happened with Modric.
Osimhen- start of the summer was €150m, then by the end was €200m, again never going to happen.
G. Ramos- went to PSG
Muani- went to PSG for €100m after one year in the Bundesliga.
Now I can’t think of any other big striker who may net 20 goals a season. I’d have wanted L. Martinez but he’s more of a 2nd striker/ Nkuku role.
So after the good showing I was fairly happy to trust in Jackson, Broja and Nkuku til January. Obvs Nkuku got injured, but come January, if we’re still lacking goals I’d want us to go for Toney, as I believe he’d be able to step up to the plate.

Your points are well made in my opinion.

Toney is next available when Nkunku is meant to be fit is my point and we may well have a top keeper in our midst. I want to see them all play more than four games for us before I make that judgement.
