Awful result today but we’ve had a title winning Jose team finish 10th, a title winning conte team finish 5th and 5 seasons of not even coming close to winning the league.

It’s really frustrating seeing us play as poorly as we are now but realistically we haven’t scored regular goals since hazard left and we haven’t had a goalscorer since Costa left.

Potter should be doing a lot better with this squad but there are clearly deeper issues and I don’t think simply sacking the manager is any guarantee of an upturn in results. Plenty of fans wanted Tuchel gone after the results at leeds and Southampton and got their wish, I think we need to try and build some stability for once now we’ve got new owners and a project to build towards.

Im not convinced bringing in Pochetino or Enrique is going to make the slightest bit of difference.

A squad of players that don’t put the effort in on the pitch or training pitch unless it suits them. It’s no coincidence that we get up for big games and have big players regularly injured.

Lampard, Terry, Drogba were very rarely injured. Now we’ve got Chilwell and James along with loads of others injured all the time through muscle strains that are avoidable by proper training and stretching.

There’s attitude problems throughout the squad that have been there since Conte, we need a clear out.

RVD, on today’s performance I agree with but the responsibility for that first 45 mins is GP’s.

The team sat far to deep and didn’t press a team that is bottom of the league and probably low on confidence.

A kick up the ar@s was needed and in my opinion needed in that first half.

Sat too deep and didn’t press high enough, sounds a lot like a 2 time chelsea manager that finished 10th and wasn’t able to give the players the necessary kick up the ar*e. We’ve had performances like this under too many managers for it to not be a player issue in my opinion. It’s hard to take because it’s far easier to get rid of one person that a lot of players.

RVD1997 I don’t think you can put today or the last six months of largely insipid play down to long standing player power issues. Today’s starting eleven consisted of 6 players who were new to the club this season.

Player power and indifference has certainly been a challenge in the past but it’s not the primary factor now.

RVD, the first half attitude and tactics were awful.

The manager as always has to take responsibility but he can also make an example of players who are not performing.

For me, Sterling and Havertz at least brought some effort and direction to the game.

I have said Mount was poor but Kovacic wasn’t much better and EF was average.

It would be a long list of poor performances.!

Titan, thank you for bringing some sense into this debate. As you quite properly pointed out a lot of the players have only recently joined the squad: so a player revolt is a poor excuse for what is going on. TBH, the first person who should be removed from their position is TB.

RVD I think TT's sacking cameras a surprise to most of us and even a shock. Don't think many fans calling for it but it was clearly to do with him doing something unacceptable from perspective of new owners.

Likewise many were nervous about Potter as untried at top level and hadn't won anything but he'd done well with Brighton and we hoped the view thar he'd was a good coach and manager was right.

It mat be that he is. But I didn't see players not trying today but just a supposed team lookingore like a group of individuals who hadn't been told what to do or what the tactics were.

Plus it's not as though hevfidnt have plenty of new players orvyoung players like Hall to choose from and/ or could have left out any problem ones or hooked them. Over abundance in squad to choose from.
