If true, has anyone got any clues to the supposed mystery player identity who picked up an injury today?

I’d imagine Felix or Mudryk the way it’s being worded.

I believe that is a false rumor, I would likely unfollow that account on Twitter because they tend to do these types of things for clicks.

The bloke runs a site under the name “Vince” and to be fair he got a Chelsea transfer right last week.

Anyway, let’s hope it’s all b@llox.

I'm a bit curious: Is the word bullocks edited by TomB or some of the editors?

In general, there seems to be an odd cultural gap between the UK/ wherever all of you guys are and for instance Denmark, where I cannot imagine any regular swear words being censored away on any page.
I've experienced it myself on this page before, and of course I understand if you would rather not the the site flooded with such words - but I'm genuinely curious.

Even if the editors haven't made the censorship and it's all TomB, I doubt many Danish people would do so! :)

{Ed001's Note - it is nothing to do with the UK, it is the USA which is the censorship obsessive. That is why we need to edit them and try and avoid swearing or we can lose the advertising as the sites need to be child-friendly. Personally I don't care one way or the other, I try not to swear as you never know who is listening/reading what you say, but it is not really all that important imo. I doubt there are many Brits who could say more than 3 words without swearing mate.}

I’m deeply offended by the assertion that “Brits” have a limited vocabulary. It’s all b****x.

I guess it puts me in a minority and I like that. haha.

Actually this is probably just me but I like it when people self censor. I think it shows a small amount of respect. As I say, it’s probably a me thing!

{Ed001's Note - hahaha, it is true though, how many Brits can have a conversation without the F word appearing multiple times?}

I think it depends on the subject.

For instance when talking football it’s obligatory to have at least three swear words in every sentence.

If it’s politics it’s five. If it’s driving it’s every word.

There is obviously a minimum amount of swear words for every subject.

The worst I have ever encountered was a New York taxi driver (unusual, he was American) even for my old ears it’s was unbelievable.

Ed001, thanks for your explanation, there is generally no need to use swear words in text. I used to know a guy who would split adjectives and insert a “ f***ing” in the middle of the word- he wasn’t British. That said sometimes a swear word perfectly describes a situation or person but I understand the need to edit.

Jimbo, again I’m sure this is just me and I know I have done it myself on occasions but it always makes me angry when a swear word is used as part of a description of of a person.

Mind you I also hate the word “waist” to describe a person. “waist of space”. “waist of time”. Waist of effort” and even a “waist of money”

That comes from my heritage. I was always taught no person is a “waist” but over the years I’ve come across a few that have come close and one or two that have gone beyond.

Tom you are obviously a more forgiving and generous person that me. Probably because of my choice of career I have to report a lot of people are a waste of space and some are absolute *****.

Jimbo, it’s not about forgiveness and trust me the majority of my working career has been in different forms of the service industry and it’s not always been a bundle of joy.

I just try (not always successfully) to find different words to describe people.

Thanks for the discussion :)

Ed you are absolutely right that British people tend to say it quite often. And had no idea that such words could have an influence on advertisement money lmao, but makes sense I guess :)

Have a great weekend!
