Well deserved point: probably would have taken that before the match. Sorry to say Mount was very poor again. It was a penalty but red card was harsh.

{Ed0666's Note - if he gives a penalty he has to give a red. Them are the rules.

Ed666 I thought if you kept continuously fouling you get a yellow card Fabinho. Them are the rules.

{Ed0666's Note - if you simulate incessantly and have more rolls in you’re repertoire than Greggs you get a yellow them are the rules

Ed666 I don’t think you were watching the match properly. But what is clear that Salah shoiuld have got a yellow for kicking the ball away when not awarded a free kick right in front of the referee; whether you agree with the rule or not it must be enforced consistently . That sort of thing makes no difference to the game but shows the fact that the PL has a poor bunch of officials which was evidenced in the good quality of refs in the Euros.

Some of the press saying Taylor did NOT interpret the handball correctly. They are quoting something about it not being handball if it comes of another part of the players body.

I don’t know enough about the current laws to question if this correct but to be honest I thought it was a handball.

It was a definite penno. Red card for myself not convinced as such but from the rules that Sky pulled up at the end of the game you can see why he gave it.

As I said earlier Tom, leaving aside the James incident he let Fabinho got away with murder and Salah kicking the ball away in petulance which is a yellow card either he doesn’t know the rules or he was intimidated by the crowd: either way his performance should be looked at.

From what I’m reading in the press there is a further paragraph that Sky didn’t show. Something about the ball be deflected onto the hand from another part of the players body but I agree, I thought it was a pen.
