I cannot help but think that there would be some options that might be both realistic and good value that we're not talking about.

Haaland / Lukaku / Kane all seem quite unlikely.

So who do we think are the options?

I've no idea if they're realistic, but what about.

Jovic / jim/ Andre Silva / Jiminez

For strikers we can look at Darwin Nunez, Alexander isak as realistic options in my view.

If Raul Jimenez never had that injury he’d be a perfect guy for us. But now is too much of a risk.

I think we’ll end up going after Vlahovic from Fiorentina but I’m still hoping we can pull it out the bag with Haaland.

Vlahovic is another nice option. But my concern with all 3 has been they don't play with their back to a defence. Most of the goals they scored are in from what looks like counter attack and against defence which gives them space to run in behind. But what we need is someone who can also hold up and bring other attackers into play especially against teams which are going to sit back. Also none of the highlights I have seen of them indicates they have physicality to fight for headers against those teams. I could be wrong. Ed001 could you please help us here? Thanks.

Mad blue I take it you’ve clearly never really watched Vlahovic play properly then. If anything his link up play and aerial ability is what sets him out from the rest. He’s also very aggressive something which I like in a striker not like a Morata type. His decision making and pass him let’s him down from time to time but he is still young.

If anything he reminds me of Mitrovic who hasn’t turned out as good as first though but he is a goal scorer.

Munich mate. I did say I haven't seen a lot of these strikers. But I commented from whatever I have seen. But I take your word on vlahovic and will wait for ed's piece too.

For what's worth Vlahovic looks like a natural fit.

He already plays in and generaly leads a high press.

He's 21 and physicaly appropriate.

I think Liverpool are hot for him, but he feels like a Chelsea player in the making.

He looks a real handful and a bit of a beast.

Vlahovic could be a very shrewd buy I thought that of Luka Jovic two years ago and he’s been nothing but a dissapointment since.

It’s his aggressiveness is what I think makes him different.

Darwin Nunez is a very good shout besides I don’t think Benfica has a cheap release clause on clause, fine striker- he can even be as good as the tier-A strikers with one or two years experience in the European top leagues.
