Forty starts apparently for Jackson to stay at Bayern. No wonder he's been so gracious towards Maresca in the press.

If he scores lots of goals he signs for Munich or someone else. If he has a mare he comes back, simples.

Was it worth all the hassle he put himself through, BM were never going to sign him for the figure agreed.

EdW. I’ve read that too. Very strange terms to agree to. Obviously, a lot of panic went on- worry about it next summer.

It's called kicking the can or i this case Jackson down the road.
Bet he feels really appreciated now.

Bill, we’ve kicked a lot of cans down a lot of roads in the last few years. This is football;coaches don’t fancy you and you’re out of the picture. That said, he earns more in a week than most normal people earn in 3 years; so I won’t lose any sleep over it.

I understand what you are saying but could this be yet another Lukaku, he can join Sterling.

We have supposedly got back half of what we paid for Jackson in a loan fee.
I hope that Delap, Pedro and Guiu all have a fantastic season but if not we may well want Jackson back. I personally I would not have included an obligation clause.
Regardless of how Jackson performs at BM, I believe it would almost be impossible for us not to make a profit on him IF we choose to sell him.

Can't be another Lukaku, Bill. We're getting almost half the original transfer fee back on the loan. Plus his wages aren't so high that other clubs can't afford him – and he's only 24!
I fancy him to score a few in the Bundesliga if he stays free of injury. People have been harsh about him on here, but despite his rawness and the inconsistency of his finishing he's a good player. Skilful and determined, hard worker, passionate, with that element of surprise that comes from not having had the individuality coached out of him at an academy – don't think Palmer would have had that first season he had without Jackson's occupying defenders (and we could see it when he got injured last season) . I did wish at times he wasn't such a hothead, but his story was really quite an incredible one. I wish him well, and hope he has a good career whether it's at us (unlikely) or elsewhere.

It is nothing like a Lukaku situation Bill, what a strange thing to say. I'm with you Tom on the obligation at £56m, we could regret that if he has a brilliant season and transfer fees ramp up again. Bayern might buy him at £56m and then sell him for a profit. As EdW says he has a number of attributes that make him potentially a very good player. I'm pleased we got such a huge loan fee for him and hope there is a hefty sell on clause as well.

Tbh for the loan fee mentioned. makes it even better business, huge loan fee and if he does well and doesn't reach game targets we can bring him back and sell on.

Or somebody else comes in for another loan, this was my point on saying it could be like Lukaku.

Bill, if they are willing to pay £16.5m for a loan then happy days!
