Long time bit part reader but not posted as don't want to argue lol from some posts I've read.

I've seen a lot of posts on the striker situation about Jackson and Broja and whether they'll be good enough. Both got potential but not ready yet and I think that's the problem with us Chelsea fans as we're used to buying the ready made thing. Not saying they're bad players but Jackson shouldn't have been signed as a young player to lead the line at Chelsea yet. Unless you're Haaland a mentally strong monster it's hard to succeed at Chelsea. Broja has all the tools with great pace and strength but he's never convinced me. I wouldn't write him off yet but I do think he needs a loan for a year with an experienced forward coming in.

A lot has been said about Osimhen and Toney both positives and negatives. Osimhen is quite injury prone if you watch him regularly (not what we need atm) and Toney as much as I like him has a lot of baggage with his gambling issues. Good player but never been fully convinced as he scores a lot of penalties but great with his back to goal.

Personally I think we missed the boat in the summer with Aleksander Mitrovic. I know he's on big money in Saudi but he use to watch Chelsea games now and then when he was at Fulham as he was a fan. Mitrovic is an all round beast who for me is the type of striker who would succeed at Chelsea. Similar in stature not technique to Drogba and Giroud but for me Costa as he has that nasty side and wins everything in the air and in the box which is what we're sorely lacking. I would try and persuade him to come back the premier league and London as he was fantastic at Fulham. We're sorely missing a focal point and with a player like Mitrovic in the middle and Palmer and Nkunku either side that is a quality attack with a bit of everything you need.

Jackson is young and will get better but he's not ready made yet. I'd give Broja a loan before selling him save it being a mistake. Our attack has potential but it doesn't worry defenders. Mitrovic would give us that he still has a good 4 years left in him as he's never relied on pace he's just a bully. He would add bite to the team and give us an aerial presence in both boxes which we're struggling with. I don't think you'd pay more than 30/ 40 million for him being 29. I think he could do a better job than Giroud did here who was severely underrated. He's a premier league proven striker who you know would hit the ground running. He's still banging goals in for Serbia all the time.

That's my first post and opinion don't bite my head off guys lol.

Welcome to our happy band Hertfordshire.

Hertfordshire, welcome. I don’t see it as arguments on this site. I see it as a safe place to vent frustrations and opinions. The one thing posters have in common here is our love of the club. As at the Bridge we all have differing opinions about the how things are going and what should happen in the future.

Welcome harry. No arguing here, me and Tom argue all the time but it's no hard feelings. Just disagreements.

I'd agree with you regarding striker. I think Jackson was a shrewd buy but I agree he isn't ready. Giraud was severely underrated and I was upset we sold him so soon. I'd target a similar forward who makes the team play better for an acceptable price. I've had enough of 60m player forwards not playing well here. False 9 like nkunku or a Giraud sort of player please with Jackson as a backup.

Being a poker expert I would assume some might be able to recognise the usual “tell. ”.

Would he be made 3rd choice if another keeper joined? Sounds a bit harsh as he was rated the best keeper in the MLS.

{Ed002's Note - The club do not make such decisions on MLS "rankings".}
