Everyone seems to lose their heads as soon as the season finishes. . I read that there's going to be a "mass clear out" at Chelsea every summer. There won't be. Fans backing rumours of Drogba to leave are a bit mad too, aren't they?! He's been an absolute force for us and you cannot question his passion for the club, just refer back to when we got knocked out of the CL in 08/09 against Barcelona. He cares. Trying to kick him out just because we've got Torres and a young Brazilian shouting off about wanting to play for us is ridiculous. Malouda isn't going. Lamps and JT will be in the 11 come the opening day too. I think a lesson has been learnt from last year, getting rid of Belletti, Deco, J Cole and Ballack. So sending our bigger names to different clubs in reality, is unlikely. Yes, by all means expect comings and goings. But players that were in our starting eleven this year, won't be shipped out. That's just basic, common sense to me?! Who'll come in? I don't know. Sturridge is back and he wants to play, Neymar wants to move to the Bridge, Torres has a point to prove, Drogba is our main man, and Anelka is reliable. So, let's hope we don't do a Man City and splash out on players we don't need. Get a few quality players in, strengthen the depth of the squad, let a few fringe players go, and bring up the likes of McEachran to let them show what they've got. As for the managers job, wait and see. Seems obvious, again. There's a crucial match next week. Turkey lose that, then expect something to be announced. It seems likely that's what it is all pending on. Would love to see Hiddink back. But blimey, some of you Blues fan are absolutely crazy.

Hey Ed Roumors are flying around sayin that Pep is going to become Chelsea manager. I have a feeling that he is going to fail because he doesn't speak good English just like Carlo. I really think that he is good because the Barca team is simply good with or without any manager. So what do you thing does he have a good chance of success at Chelsea? {Ed002's Note - I refer to earlier answers.}

Ed, are you hearing anything new on Guardiola. Been hearing this will be his last match at Barca and will be moving to Chelsea. Bad rumours or new developments? {Ed002's Note - I know nothing of it.}

ed some reports saying weve agreed with the dic company that owns 40& of neymar and that it would cost roughly 23m to pay the 60& to santos any truth {Ed002's Note - I gues Groupo DIS will not bee too keen on being referred to as "the dic company". I will repeat again what I provided more than a week ago: "Chelsea are obviously not allowed to talk to the player but have spoken with his advisors and with the owners of his economic rights Santos and Grupo DIS. The third party involvement of TEISA is somewhat irrelevant as their agreement is with Santos but does require a minimum return on their investment of 3% of the value of the player (5% of the Santos ownership). There are financial issues which would need to be resolved related to Grupo DIS who value their 40% at a different level than Santos values their 60%. There has also been a proposal made by Santos for Chelsea to take another player (who shall remain unnamed) in addition to Neymar. Chelsea will consider and likely reject this. There has also been talk of a possible sell on clause being included in the contract. All of this seems to be surmountable. As for his advisors, they do not want to commit to Chelsea at this time as there is another club (Barcelona) who appear to be showing serious interest in Neymar. This is probably just a negotiating tactic and nothing else. They are resigned to the player moving in the summer and obviously want to get the best deal they can. There have been some pretty outrageous demands made in respect of friends and family (flights to and from Sao Paulo, tickets to games etc.) and these would need to be resolved. One final complication is that there is a very good chance that a request will be made to say if a move is agreed the player will not join Chelsea until January 2012. This is all wrapped up with the Copa Libertadores and subsequent World Club Championship. It is most unlikely that Chelsea would agree to such a provision. I think it is likely that Neymar will, after some negotiation and posturing, make the move to Chelsea this summer." Nothing has changed.}

Ed, are the rumours true about us prepairing a new 23 million bid for Neymar? Personally I don't think this will be enough. {Ed002's Note - Ignore the amount and get over any thoughts of a transfer fee being an issue.}

Neymer will sign for a fee of around £25 million,
Lukaku will sign for a fee of around £18 million, but possibly loaned back for a year.
VDW will sign for a fee of around £15 million.
Has for Augero & Sanchez, I think they will price themselves out of a move.

Borini to Rangers on loan for some experience in europe

{Ed002's Note - Borini is out of contract at Chelsea. Any club signing him (i.e. Parma) will need to pay compensation to Chelsea for his youth development. So of all of the options available, going on loan is not one of them.}

Pep Guardiola will be chelsea manager win, lose tonight , Barcelona's 5-0 demolition of Real Madrid will not have passed Roman Abramovich by, nor the fact that Pep Guardiola, at one point, had nine academy graduates on the pitch. He will have been watching.

Barca's La Masia production line is what every club craves but when Abramovich craves something, he usually tries harder than most to acquire it.

So, when the dust settles on the Catalan party after tonight he will go to chelsea.

this is more a question that a rumor (and its not directed at you Ed but rather the Aguero fanboys), why are we interested in going after Aguero and not the far superior Edinson Cavani? or for that matter Hulk? Both these players fit more within the existing Chelsea system, let City have Aguero and sign Cavani (and Hulk as well!)

Just so this goes in the rumours section i'll add some.

Now for the speculators, firstly Romelu and Jordan Lukaku. Romelu is, as I see it, a must signing but he need not necessarily join the team straight away, a loan back to Anderlecht, or preferably a small team where he would play in Europe (and England, Stoke and Birmingham City I'm looking at you!) would be ideal, as we first need to integrate Neymar with the rest of the team and the English game. Jordan is apparently progressing very nicely too, but I view him as less essential at this point.

Then there are the threats to Kalou's spot, Gervinho, Seydou Doumbia (and apparently Taison from some reports I've heard recently) are potential support strikers, and a threat to Kalou's future at the club. Gervinho has been good, but not great for Lille, but brings the bonus of being quite an accomplished winger as well as a striker. Doumbia is basically Drogba a decade ago, he's still learning the game, but will develop into a great striker. Taison is very quick, and is scoring at a better rate for Metalist Kharkiv than he did for Internacional. A final entrant in this category is Lacina Traore with his great height would make an ideal super sub in the mold of Tore Andre Flo, tall and dangerous near goal.

Then there is the Mourinho and Villa Boas factors to consider, Samuel Eto'o, Emmanuel Adebayor, Hulk and Falcao are not really on the radar at the moment for Chelsea (well Eto'o and Hulk to a certain degree), a change of manager however may shift this perception and potentially the transfer targets.

Finally the outliers, the players for whom a move to Chelsea is unlikely to say the least, but who would each bring a certain added value to the club. Firstly there is Park Chu Young, a skillful Korean striker who would broaden Chelsea's Asian merchandising horizons, ditto to Japan's Takayuki Morimoto. Finally Jonathan Biabiany, the fastest man in French football is a great young striker, Inter made a mistake swapping him for Giampaolo Pazzini (not that Pazzini is a bad player, but Biabiany could have developed into a truly great one), we should consider benefiting from Inter's folly.

Ed this is in according to reports that came out of Spain that were never backed up by more than one source {Ed002's Note - ?}

Just following up on what people were asking about a Chelsea "negotiating team" being in Madrid enquiring about aguero or gago. I just forget to copy and paste quite often

{Ed002's Note - No, there is no "negotiating team" in Madrid. Chelsea tried three weeks ago to prepare a "package" that would be acceptable to the player due to his very high wage demands. Manchester United did the same. Neither were accepted and Aguero's representatives moved on to Turin for talks there.}

Neymar is highly likely to join Chelsea this year as he said he wants to.

Lukaku could join, with Pastore and Van der Wiel also possibilities.

It is not impossible for Sanchez and Aguero to join either

Not all of them. Neymar, lukaku, and van der Weil are all very possible. Maybe either Sanchez or aguero. Not both. And if this was all to happen it would be a great summer. Hopefully we all get our wishes
