ED002 have you seen Benitez's post match comments? surely he has stepped out of line? {Ed002's Note - I am not in the UK - and care nopt for such things - Mark Hughes had the right attitude.}
He has criticised the board and the fans his position must be untenable?
He's correct is criticising the fans - they have shown an iota of support since he was hired and they think that doesn't affect the team and the club morale?
And you think his tactic/subs/team selection etc etc doesn't effect the team?
He blamed the board at Inter in a similar way after he wrecked Jose CL winning team in 3 months.
Bit of a coincidence don't you think?

A manager does not go on the field and play such rubbish football, players do. So what if they don't like the manager and his tactics, they are paid to do a job and give their best ever game they are selected for the 1st team. This year has been a total embarrasment for Chelsea, had a good change to bring lots of silverwear in and start a new era, its been nothing short of poor on all counts and the board is to blame. Where is Roman when the club is in crisis? Sacked Di Matteo at the drop of a hat and what's changed? I don't see us winning anything this season, our reputation for managers is bad, big players don't want to join teams in decline, someone needs to take control and Roman is nowhere to be seen. Rafa did right tonight, the fans are a joke carrying this on, won't suprise me if half of them turn red next season anyway. Get behind the club/team/manager or don't bother going to games and let the real fans do what we do best. Scott M.
Honestly, can you blame him for it? He's maintained an attitude that the fans weren't affecting him but it's got to weigh heavily on him and he snapped. It was only a matter of time before it happened.
He's correct in calling the fans out because it has made the players nervous and negatively affected performances at Stamford Bridge. Fans need to support the club through the good and bad times, plain and simple.
As for criticizing the club/board for their treatment of him (posting 'interim manager' on the team sheet), I can't say I wouldn't do the same. It has been made clear he is a stop gap and he probably feels disrespected. I think he is pretty sure the club won't sack him/break his contract so he is testing his limits. To be honest, he's got the club by the balls because he can mail it in and tank for the rest of the season, which would cause us to miss out on the top 4.
The club and fans should show him more respect because he's all that we have, and the club, players, fans, and the manager need to work together to achieve the common goal: Finishing in the top 4.
Very foolish to have a go at the support that have travelled many miles and spent many pounds to support the team. As Danny Baker rightly said last night, many of these managers forget that it is only the supporters that have to pay to watch. So the fans can support or withdraw their support any way they please.
We can't blame him for his comments can we? The fans have been a torn in the ass ever since he took over which shouldn't have been the case, wher does the saying "support the club u love through good and bad" apply, they have being nothing like that ever since he took over which in some way make his comment about some of us being plastic fans correct. For once we should just forget about past history and pull everything together to support the club if not we will be watching thursday night football again next season. Peace out.

He has made made some valid points, but the timing of the outburst is complete madness. He should not be making comments about supporters who have travelled all that way on a miserable wednesday night, and it also completely disguises the fact that we won - a confidence boost that was needed.
It does not make his comment about us being 'plastic fans' correct at all, in fact the very opposite. You wouldn't see the length and intensity of this protest at many other clubs, which is ironically probably something that has spurred the supporters on in the anti-benitez chants. IanK

Is it just me or does really nobody see that Ed is openly implying that Mark Hughes might be the man to take over from Benitez till the end of the season?
He's talking about a manager's attitude dude saying Hughes has got a better attitude, nothing more.

I think itsabout right that he snapt what chelsea fans are you that you would won't the team to loose just tro prove a point he's stated that he's leaving at the end of the season and by stasteing the things that he stated is the hope that the fans back the team home and away he won't be sacked that's a fact cause no manager would take over rafa is 1 of the best managers in the world regardless of opinion on him he still is you should be bacing the team and any 1 that doesn't back the team and wonts the team to loose is an person and isn't a real chelsea fan
I think he should stop blaming everyone else except himself.
He did the same at Inter after he singled handly reduced the European Champions to mid table mediocrity in 4 months.
And Roman gives this person the job of rescuing our season LOFL.
If we want to qualify for the CL he has to go.
Lets hope everyone let's him know he isn't welcome at our club on Saturday
