ED, whos decision was it too keep Mcecheran for the first half of the season, and loan him out for the second half, cheers?

SHED END {Ed002's Note - I don't think there was a deliberate decision to keep him then loan him out - there was a decision to let him go on loan to gain experience and to get more game time than he would at Chelsea. I don't know who made the decision but it would have probably of involved Steve Holland and Dermot Drummy.}

Offer Torres + 15mil for Falcao

I think we need to concentrate more on getting a right back, a central attackin mid and a left and right winger more than a striker

Agree0 Disagree0

Why a left winger? we didnt buy mata for nothing...

Agree0 Disagree0

His natural position is behind the striker proved that yesterday when they changed the formation, so yes we need a left winger

If AVB is to stay after this season then its essential that he gets rid of a couple of the big influences over the changing room. Ash, Lamps, JT, Drog etc. I'm not for one second saying there not good enough or bringing unrest purposely to jeopardise the club, i just think its time a couple moved on so the control of the changing room shifted fully to AVB. After this the next step has to be to get rid of the average under performing players, your Maloudas, Kalous, Mikels, Bosingwas etc. Replace them with youngsters who can do just as good a job but who try harder, bring in good squad players who can push for a first team spot like De Bruyne and Courtois. And then finally bring in a couple of big signings who can get everyone excited, maybe even raid Porto for a couple of players who believe in AVB and trust him. I just think the main objective of AVB has to be to get the team to trust him and play his football, not fight him because it isn't working.

OsgoodIsKing {Ed002's Note - As it stands at present neither De Bruyne nor Courtois will be at Cheslea next season.}

You can add AVB to that list if we carry on like this against Birmingham.

Seriously though what other club signs players and sends them on loan for 2 seasons when there struggling? If United did that with Hernandez they wouldn't have won the league last year. Some of our decisions are baffling at times.

And you blame these decisions on AVB? Clearly some of the supporters have absolutely no understanding how chelsea is run.

Explain Melbourne CFC. Who should we blame when it comes to decisions regarding players then? Only i thought that's what the manager is for? If it isn't his choice to send them on loan then you know what, i blame him. He should make it his choice.

AVB is basically just the coach, other members of the club are taking care of the signing of younger players. Of course AVB lets the board know who he would like but the final decision is not his.

Agree0 Disagree0

Osgood was replying to your second post. As the last poster stated AVB has little control over who is loaned out to gain experience, these decisions are made by the Board. Ed002 stated that the McEachran decision probably involved Steve Holland and Dermott Drummy. I dont think AVB has much say at all.

I back AVB 100% but unfortunately I think he will get sacked in the end now because of the supporters beginning to boo him, shame really as I know alot of people want stability and to atleast give him a chance next year to put his stamp on the team. But when you create a monster you have to deal with it.

I like AVB Melbourne, i think hes a good coach and i hope hes here next season. I just think a manager should have the final say over decisions regarding players, if that's the case then because i don't agree with the decision to send them both out on loan for another season, i blame AVB. If its not his choice then i think he needs to speak to Roman and make it his choice.

OsgoodIsKing

Agree0 Disagree0

AVB did not want to sign De Bruyne in the first place Osgood, De bruyne has been a target for a while but i dont believe AVB is as convinced of his ability as some of the board may be. Until AVB has full control then he cannot mould his squad. AVB only signings as i understand it are Mata and Romeu.

It would be my preference for AVB to be replaced by a manager with more experience, however, this obviously wont be Hiddink or Mourinho just yet and who else is there? The Birmingham game is probably AVB's biggest since he took over! Fans expect not only a win but a big win, a stylish win. This game gives him a chance to blood the quality youth we al know is at the club; and it's a chance for some out of for players (Torres) to get their swagger back. The temptation would be to start Lukaku but if I was AVB I'd use this as a 'last chance saloon' for Torres; Drogba is back and will be playing for a contract. Here is the starting 11 I'd like to see for the Birmingham game......

Cech

Hutchinson Cahill Luiz Bertrand

Essien Romeu Lampard

Sturridge Mata

Torres

We've had problems at Right & Left Back all season, no in form RB and Cole hasn't been himself at LB; give Hutch and Bertrand a chance. Bertrand is ready, in my opinion, to be a regular starter and what's the point in giving Hutch a new contract and not playing him?

There is massive pressure to play Cahill and I'd like to see a partnership with Luiz begin to form!

Big game for Essien, it's time to see the old bison return! Romeu is another quality young player that needs to be in this and most future starting 11's. Lampard to start and captain the side. From the midfield I'd be looking to bring Ramires and maybe Lucas Paizon on at some point.

Mata has to play, if for some reason Lampard doesn't start I'd even consider giving him the armband; lead by example! Mata to either start at the head of a diamond or on the left. Sturridge to start on the right (no other options) or centrally (prove a point) up with Torres.

Torres, as above, but I'd expect to see Lukaku come in at some point no matter what! The question now remains to what fans reaction will Torres come off to?
