Hey ed, how long do you think ancelotti will be given to turn results around before he gets the scolari treatment and gets sacked?
Also, if he does do you think we'll be able to lure guardiola? {ed's note - I don't see him going, certainly not to be replaced by Pep, he would want to spend too much money.}

Ramires could re-join Benfica or even join Santos on loan until the end of the season. Some premier league clubs and a host of European clubs are also interested including Newcastle, West Ham, Dinamo Kiev, Juventus, Fiorentina and Roma. However the Brazilian would prefer to move back to his former home due to his inability to overcome home sickness and the English weather.

Any truth in this Ed? {ed's note - I doubt it mate, the squad is stretched already.}

Ed, ive been told on more than one occasion that these 3 players will sign for us in january, mexes CB Roma £2.5mil, pennant RM Zaragoza £4mil, cassano CF Sampdoria free. Any truth in it ED? {ed's note - Pennant? Really?}

Pennant god damn, Ramires is probably a better signing.

ed its me who asked you this question. about pennant, only reason i could think of is he would offer natural width and can pick a cross out better then most, but attitude etc was why i was surprised to be told about him {ed's note - I find it difficult to believe as I thought Stoke had first refusal. I thought I heard Mexes was about to sign a new contract with Roma, but I might have got that wrong.}

Hey Ed, any chance of Chelsea signing Inter Milan right back Davide Santon in Jan or the summer as Inter are willing to listen to offers for the talented defender and do Chelsea have any interest in signing Lorenzo Di Silvestri from Firorentina? {ed's note - of course there is a chance, but it will come down to the player, there are a lot of teams interested in him. I have not heard of any interest in Di Silvestri from any Prem team mate.}

Santon is moving to Genoa, the player is a makeweight for a Genoa player and Santon will be partially owned by Inter and Genoa, strange i know but this is how the Italian teams do business.

Hey Ed any update on Kakuta, you said you'd know more by end of the week? {ed's note - I am not that ed but it does look like he has been convinced to stay at the moment, nothing is certain until he puts pen to paper though.}

{Editor's Note: Not at this time - players are being looked at and contract renewals and extensions are being discussed. It does appear that Borini will be going but Kakuta will be staying if he, or his representative, concede a requested contractual clause. Right back remains a significant concern.}
