Thanks ed for the updates I now zero my mind to players on interest list. Few questions pls. In your previous posts you talked about chelsea having a vested interest in Markovic and the intentions to let him be at Benfica for two years except if other clubs are trying to get him. Is that still the situation or are chelsea now seeing him as being ready for the premiership? You also said that chelsea shrugged at price quoted to them for Calhanoglu. Are chelsea now ready to meet the asking price or has the price changed? I prefer him to Kroos except if Chelsea is willing to let an attacking midfielder go. Forgive my long post.

{Ed002's Note - (a) The club don't see Markovic as ready just yet and would rather do nothing right now. (b) Nothing has changed regarding Calhanoglu as far as I know.}

Hi Ed002! Could you clarify these. Is chelsea signing of a central midfielder only dependent on a central midfielder leaving. I.e, if no cm leaves no one will come? Will Lampard extend his contract at chelsea? Who are the central midfielder targets that chelsea is looking at in the order of priority. Sorry to bother you Ed I have not posted for a very long time. Cheers! Enjoy your day.

{Ed002's Note - I really don't know what will happen with Lampard but you must remember that van Ginkel is now fit. Chelsea will not buy for the sake of buying and there is no order of priority as such. Interest in Imbula and Rakitic seems to have waned. Calhanoglu and Rabiot are certainly of interest and the club also has its own youngsters coming through. There is speculation about interest in Paulinho again but I cannot confirm anything. If Everton wished to press for a deal with Lukaku then Chelsea would seek Ross Barkley as part of the deal. If there were a priority list then Vidal and Pogba would be at the top, but given the sort of fees that would be involved both are very unlikely.}

1.) Good to see the club's own youngsters mentioned in there. They should only buy new players if they're really worth it. Haven't seen Rabiot play, but I understand he's highly regarded and Calhanoglu looked pretty talented the (admittedly) very few times I've seen him. Good set piece delivery on him as well, but I thought he was more of an attacking midfielder.
I actually hope we give Loftus-Cheek or Chalobah a chance, the way united gave Januzaj a chance.

2.) If I may say PSG Rabiot venture is mission impossible they will everything to keep him since he homegrown.
Pogba would cost a fortune also mission impossible.
Vidal would be a great signing and it might be possible.
People are forgetting that Lukaku is the only homegrown central forward at Chelsea and I am convinced he won't be sold.
Ed thanks for your rational approach!

Ed002, Is chelsea signing of a central midfieder only dependent on a central midfielder leaving the club. Will Lampard sign a contract extension. Who are chelsea's central midfield targets.

{Ed002's Note - Try the search engine.}

1.) Hopefully Lampard, Mikel and McEachran are sold. Bring through Chalobah, Van Ginkle.
If anyone wants to pay £25m plus for Ramires then happy days.
