I remember when we were favourits for Pastore and all the sources shady ones, slightly reliable and of course Daily Mail (not sure where i'll put them) kept saying he was as good as a chelsea player. Then splash PSG. You know who we ended up with that summer? For half the price of Pastore? Juan Mata. So to be honest if he comes I'll be happy, if he doesn't that leaves the door open for someone else. So however this pans out I think we shouldn't care too much.

With the signing of lewandowski, Would it be possible that mandzukic will leave and if so would Chelsea be interested? Cheers

Dear Ed, There have been news in todays papers about mandzukic requesting transfer at Bayern. Which clubs are the most likely suitors? is chelsea likely to be interested?

Going by the transfer speculations, chelsea have been trying to address LB, S, CM, DM positions. Are they looking for a CB and who are the likely targets. Thanks and have a nice day.

{Ed002's Note - Manchester City see Mandzukic as a replacement for Dzeko and Manchester United remain interested.

Varane, possibly Benatia.}

Who are interested in Dzeko Ed?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - Dzeko may well be leaving but interest from Borussia Dortmund has waned. However, I expect a bid from Valencia and just perhaps Inter.}

Hi Ed, Matt Law of the Telegraph has written tonight that the Fabregas transfer is being delayed as we're trying to negotiate a price with Barca that would see Arsenal miss out on a 50% sell on payment or whatever, as we "don't want to pay Arsenal part of the fee", was wondering if that was nonsense or not? I remember you saying on the Arsenal page that the only clause relating to Arsenal was the first refusal or something similar, any chance you could clarify? No worries if not. Cheers

{Ed002's Note - You should ask him to clarify what he said, not me.}

If we loan Lukaku to Aletico Madrid I hope we give him a new contract first or we risk him running his contract down! I also see the odds are tumbling on Fabregas joining Man U which would be a shame. Also looks like Kalas going out on loan so I expect a big money centre back is coming in? Possibly Varanne. Luis Fellipe and Costa look probable. Any comments Ed02 or Ed18? Thanks

Lukaku can go for me just another young lad bèen told by so many that he's the greatest and should be demanding things. being fed to much SH$t by agents and people around him and is number one problem his mouth can't keep it shut. Is he good yes . is there better PLENTY

Hi to you all, reading what the eds have told us and what has transpired I have in mind what could (and I hope it does) happen.
I love luiz and but am realistic, 40-50 mill, give me a break. I think that the price has been inflated to make both clubs look better when we sign Cavani from PSG(ed 02 said he is in the preferred list). PSG can't spend this sort of money with the recent developments without selling. I personally think the Cavani deal is done which would give us the 2 of the 3 that were originally mentioned by the eds.
I would be ecstatic with C+C and Ba as number 3(it even rhymes well)
Your thoughts please

I hope what you say comes true but appears more likely that lavezzi might leave PSG.

I would like lukaku to stay and fight but his comments and attitude suggest he will
Be loaned or sold. as another back up striker, Torres but then again his wages high and maybe time to leave, ideally for me cavani costa aubameyang Bamford, but of variety pace power, no doubt a long shot thou especially as midfield could do with adding to.

Just a question for fellow posters and Eds (if you want to join in). What's the general sentiment towards Wilfried Bony? He had a pretty good first season. Took some time to adapt, but once he got going he looked to me a pretty good striker. If there aren't a lot of options available for reasonable prices, I think the club could do a lot worse than to try for Bony as a second striker.
Thoughts?

He is good but the same was said about Demba Ba. Chelsea has to be careful with its new striker/s cause there is a history of high profile failures in the recent past.

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree to the fact that he would be value for money however I believe we could easily land at least 2 out of costa/mandzukic/lavezzi.
