Absolutely gutted for Frank. Had a storming end to the season, and has always loved playing for England. Hope he gets some rest and comes back strong next year for us.

Wouldnt say hes been playing brilliantly in all honesty

Agree6 Disagree5

Not as good as past seasons still had a good 2nd half to the campaign

Agree8 Disagree2

I liked him in the deeper role, Brought a calmness and range of passing to our play from deep. Ithink hes realised he wont be able to do box to box role anymore, and by playing from deeper he can carry on playing at the top level for another 2-3 years

So Hazard is pretty much in the bag, Hulk apparentley 90% complete which is definitley a good sign. If these two go through whose next? I think we should go with someone like Javi Martinez, Fernandes. There has been some interest in Van der Wiel as well, although I don't see the point if he is going to be a Bosingwa type. I'm not sure if the Dembele and Ba interest will come to anything...? In short, its going to hot up in the coming week or so when the window officially opens.

Believable0 Unbelievable1

Its gunha go mad after the euros, teams scrapping over players who play well

Hey all, I haven't posted for a while and I've read a lot of posts and noticed some people criticizing Hazards attitude. To start with anyone who saw the finale against Nancy saw the Lille fans celebrate the departure of Hazard like a
legend was leaving them. If he was an arrogant
Fella like a lot of people have described him, will
the fans wear T-shirts and carry banners in his
honour?
Will they wear wigs in red, black and yellow or
even carry the Belgian flag? Will Lille say goodbye
to Hazard like this to a greedy harlot only
concerned about himself and not his club?
I certainly remember the comments about
wearing blue next season etc....But if you actually
look for the videos and follow the sequence of the
questions poured on him by the reporters, you'll
notice a lot of the comments presented weren't a
true representation of the events that transpired?
For the blue comment, see this video:
Per one of the translators on YouTube, this was
what happened:
- Journalist : What's your favorite colour, Red or
Blue?
- Eden Hazard : As you see my t-shirt is red and
the chases of the stadium are Blue, that's all :)
If you take your time and read the translations of
his comments from French to English, you will
notice this kid is not what is portrayed to be by
the English media. I won't deny that some of his
interviews could have been handled better during
this transfer saga. However, some of that should
have been mitigated with better advice from a
good agent (which he clearly does not have).
Also, what do most of us expect from a 21 year
old still maturing. You would think JT walks
around with the G-String of the girl he slept with
last night the way the English press portray him.
So don't believe all that is painted in the press
about this kid. Be glad we might land one of the
most talented youngsters in football today.
If he was anything like they say he is; Lille fans,
President, Owners and Teammates would not
speak about him the way they do. Sorry for the long post as I said haven't posted for a long time . Great job ED been busy as hell but still drop by when I can love the site.

Hazard-32m
Hulk-40m
Marin-8m

Still to come:

Fernando-15m
Ba/Dembele-7m/10m
VDW/Azpil-13m/15m

There really is no need for us in buying a RB I think we have got some of the best youth coming through that will provide cover for Ivanovic until Todd Kane eventually takes over.

i really see Chelsea as a dominant force in the coming years with good experience, youth, and potential 11 match winners on the field who's gnu compete with that?

My starting xi:

------------------Cech-------------------

Ivanovic-Cahill/Luiz-Terry-Cole

----------Ramires----Fernando/Lampard

Hulk------------Mata-----------Hazard

---------------"el Nino"----------------

Believable1 Unbelievable2

Mate you do no hazard cost a heell of alot more than 32 mill price is guna hit 75 mill by the time deal is finally completed {Ed002's Note - I suspect he is just considering the transfer fee.}

Agree0 Disagree3

Oooo ok fair enough i just heard it could hit 75 mill i obviously read it wrong u just meant transfer

Agree1 Disagree1

Imagine how much lamps has cost us over 9 years

Agree3 Disagree0

No CDM?

Agree1 Disagree1

Why would lampard of cost us anything?

Agree2 Disagree0

My CDM is Fernando playing next to Ramires who is my box to box player that will play in a little bit more advanced position because he has the gas and stamina to track back and join the attack consistently

Agree1 Disagree0

Todd kane is usless the only youths i c coming true is lucas piazon nathaniel chabloh and jamal blackman

Agree2 Disagree2

Someone mentioned how much hazard cost us with all his wages included so he said how much has lampard cost us

Agree0 Disagree2

Ivanovic has stated he doesn't want to play at RB all the time but is happy to cover, with Bosingwa released and Ferreira past his sell by date we do need a RB, we have alot of exciting young prospects yes, but at the moment they are just prospects, they are still too young and inexperienced in my opinion.

PieZ

Agree2 Disagree0

No i stated by the time we signed him it will cost us 75 million my god i wish people would read things properly lampard hasnt coz us anything over the years apart from wages but were not talking about wages

Agree0 Disagree0

The 75 million includes wages.......and chelsea paid 11 million for frank back in 2001

Agree1 Disagree0

And how much in wages has he had? so really its irelavant how much hazard gets, it lik sayin lamps 11m then 9 years wages of 6m ayear 65m, u dont go saying he cost us that do u?

Agree2 Disagree0

WITHOUT wages hazards going to cost us 75 mill research it {Ed002's Note - I think you have misunderstood something.}

Agree0 Disagree1

Well he did cost us that much? but club gets money back from the sale of shirts...etc {Ed002's Note - Clubs don't get money back from the sale of shirts.}

Agree0 Disagree0

I thought they make money from them like a business would? i mean in the megastore of course {Ed002's Note - The money from shirt sales goes to the manufacturer, the distributor and the retailer, who can make extra adding numbers and names to the shirts. If the club are the retailer (club shop, club website etc.) then they get the retailers cut. The manufacturer (Adidas, Warrior, Nike etc.) pay the club an amount each year which allows them to manufacture and sell the shirts using the correct logos etc.. That is how they justify the money given to the club. So if you walk in to a high street store and buy a Liverpool or Arsenal shirt - nothing goes to the club. There are a few clubs that have negotiated different deals with manufacturers (Real Madrid with Adidas and Barcelona with Nike are the two obvious examples) based upon joint reselling ventures. So the income from shirts is fixed to the £xM or whatever Adidas, Nike etc. pay the club plus a small amount for reselling through the club retail outlets (shop, web).}

Agree0 Disagree0

To the poster above who says 75mil doesnt include wages, heres the research i did : "No official fee announcement has been disclosed - and indeed neither Lille nor Chelsea have officially confirmed the deal - but it is thought to be just over £35 million. In addition to that the player has insisted on £100,000 a week after tax, which will cost Chelsea £9m a year, while Hazard's agent John Bico has apparently negotiated a £6m fee for himself for brokering the deal. The Daily Telegraph estimates that the grand total for all this will come to £78m"

Now Marteniz is staying at Wigan, it would be good to see some of our young players go there to gain experience. Any views peeps?

Lunchbox

Believable6 Unbelievable0

Sending the likes of KDB, Lukaku there might be useful, not a bad shout

Agree2 Disagree0

Agreed aslong as they dont flop there like di santo has hes garbage

Agree1 Disagree1

Id rather send Lukaku t Swansea a team who plays good football and a team where he is guaranteed a starting spot, if not then maybe Aston Villa along side bent would be good for the lad.

PB

Agree4 Disagree1

Swansea may not be playing that good football anymore with Brendan on his way up north now.

PieZ

Agree0 Disagree1

I'd rather not give anyone to Swansea on loan after the McEachran farce! Utter joke!

It's weird that everyone is leaving Marin out of their starting 11. He's a very skilful player who loves to run at people, if Hulk comes then he will probably be left out, but people should be reassured he's a very good player and Chelsea got a bargain at £6.5 mil.

Chelsea Nick

Believable11 Unbelievable1

Hes not that good

Agree1 Disagree7

Not that good lol he's two times the player of kalou or malouda

Agree7 Disagree0

Nick I think u exaggerated with the "very good player" part. No doubt he would start games but I expect most of them to come in the F.A cup, carling cup, when we play lower league teams and if Mata ,Hazard or Hulk needs a rest or gets injured. I agree he was a bargain at that price he's only 23 and could still improve immensely. But no way he would be picked ahead of Hazard , Mata or Hulk .

ELI

Agree2 Disagree1

I agree he is not as good as Mata Hazard and Hulk, but he is better than Malouda and Kalou and will, i am sure, make a very positive impact.

Agree1 Disagree1

Marin is not going to start in front of either Mata, Hulk or Hazard but he can come in and play anywhere across an attacking midfield three as cover and is a bargin for the money we paid for him.

Surewould

Agree2 Disagree0

Deffo not good enough to go infront of hazard mata and hulk i agree with ELI fa cup and carling cup player at most he will be lucky if hazard mata or hulk get injured

Agree2 Disagree0

Hulk is massively overated i would pick marin ahead of him ny day

Agree3 Disagree6

Thats because your an person no1 would pick marin over hulk plus you wont say that next season if he plays for us

Agree0 Disagree1

Marin is a good player but not good enough to start ahead of Hazard, Hulk and Mata
