Chelsea are lining up a bid for Lyon play maker Miralem Pjanic. It is reported that they facing competition from Inter but they move as early as January to sign the Bosnian. He's thought to valued at 20mil. Any truth in this Ed?

With Frank Arnesen leaving the club this could set back our transfer plans. Arnesen has been looking long and hard to find a new center back and an attacking midfielder for the club. Because of the fitness issues of Lampard and JT had put the scouting staff on red alert to find a couple of captures.Arnesen made a personal check on Blackburn's Phil Jones recently while his top men were in Italy to watch a Serie A star only yesterday.
The Chelsea chief was also lining up meetings with agents about players for those positions.
The move will also be a shock for Arnesen's army of staff. He has built up a team of trusted scouts who work around the globe and their future will be uncertain.
What's your thoughts on this ed? {ed's note - it is a very strange move, to cause all this turmoil to the club mid-season. It should have been done once the season finished.}

The man is worth 11 billion, 30 million pound for a player is loose change to him, really if he isn't goign to fund the club he should sell up
