The ony real problem with this Chelsea team is the fact we are missing that 1 player who can beat a man with pure skill. Just too easy for the opponents to put everybody behind the ball and watch us huff and puff all game.

Believable9 Unbelievable0

And a striker who can score goals

Vincent

A striker can't score week in week out if he doesn't get the chances.
Scotty.

Mate im tired of making excuses for him. you cant be unlucky/have no chances for over a year. plus great strikers create their own chances, torres's touch is awful. gets passed one player then loses it straight away. plus i thought mata was the solution? since we lost robben/duff etc, how has drogba still managed to score 20 plus each season with these same players. torres is just not suited for chelsea and we need a different striker, whether its sturridge or someone else

I have been a bit disappointed with the window as well but I promise you an entertaining summer transfer window!

Believable4 Unbelievable0

That cant be guaranteed. everybody is after the same pool of players. When in competition for a player with barca, real or man city did we get our man. That list will get even bigger if we are not in the champions league.

Loaning out Josh Mc, now looks like a stupid decision.
Everybody new, we were a touch short in midfield & yet avb still allowed him to go early. Now there are problems wih lamps, Ramo, Mikel, Essien still trying to gain full fitness. Ther truth is avb does not want to play youngsters, even though under his stewardship the team has gone a long way backwards.

Believable5 Unbelievable4

Chill out mate it wasnt a stupid decision at all, We have Lamps, Meireles, Romeu , Mikel and Essien Mata can play there and its for 4 weeks im sure we will be fine.

Agree2 Disagree3

It was a stupid decision not to send him on loan at the beginning of the season. Hes played more premier league minutes with Swansea already than he did for us in the entire first half of the season.

Hey guys just wanna have a little say, although im up for new players as all of you are too i really think that our main problem currently is the lack of off the ball movement.everytime i watch us play the players seem to be so passive, noone is really moving into space hence we see a lot of passes going backwards.i just really hope that if we dont sign anyone else this window then the current players should put in more effort and passion.i think this is what differentiates avb with mourinho, mourinho always managed to get the players to give 110% everytime they went out on the field.

Well i hope we at least qualify for CL next year, cant imagine CL without Chelsea.

Cheers

Sometimes i feel ed2 sounds sarcastic, but on the other hand some people post questions that could also push one to be mad, asking already answered questions or highly unrealistic projections.

A dream scenario- mourinho as manager and avb as his assistant manager

Believable7 Unbelievable2

Why would you keep avb there, other than to make Jose tea.

Id imagine that most the people that read this also read newsnow Chelsea!
If that is the case id imagine you've read the recent Daily Mail article about the warm weather training camp?!.
For me it was one of the best articles about Chelsea I have read in a while, it showed AVB in a fresh view with his squad and singled out Torres and Lukaku for praise; this is refreshing!
For me the club needs a new attacking RB as a priority, Bosingwa wastes so many opportunities by delaying on the ball when crossing opportunities are apparent! The main problem though remains the fact that he can't defend and his defensive positioning is woefull!! Its so bad that it pulls David Luiz too far over to the right which splits the centre back partnership and ultimately leads to further goals conceded! Ivanovic, when fit, solves this problem but AVB will want a more attacking option!
Further more, Sturridge has been one of, if not the, best players at the club this season. However......
We need a more natural option out on the right to change things up! Believe it or not I have defended at a reasonable standard and......if i know a player like Daniel Sturridge is gonna cut in on his strong foot most the time then I've 50% already won the battle before kick off!
A natural right winger, like Eden Hazard, would solve this and add another dimension to play ALONGSIDE Sturridge!
A RB and Winger is all we need this window!!

I agree with some of this i guess. Bosingwa's issue isnt that he delays crosses it is that he cannot complete a decent cross consistently in my opinion. And Daniel Sturridge although has been an amazing asset this year has probably hindered our goal tally due to selvishness. If he didnt cut back for the shot and actually looked up to play a teammate in, which he has about 5 chances a game to do, we would have a much better goal tally, flowing play!

It was interesting and good to see something positive in the media. That said it was written by Matt Barlow, who has strong links with London clubs, especially Chelsea. Although it is good to see some support in the media, he tends to be quite bias towards us when he writes. I always prefer to see Henry Winter or Tony Evans suck it up and write something good about Chelsea because it must nearly kill them. Hopefully the article contained some truth though, because Torres needs to start scoring. Unlucky or not he missed a sitter from 6 yards against Norwich and posed no threat at all today, despite his work rate. We need to beat Swansea, so hopefully he scores against them again, and manages to avoid an early bath!

We do need a decent no.2. It will be no good bringing back courtios for the bench. He'll be learning a lot more playing week in week out at athletic.

Torres? Get off it

Not really banter, but what is anyone's opinion on the FA's decision to abdicate the formalities before the game? I found it stupid, showed no confidence in either players involved or none in our England Captain? May i remind you he is innocent until proven guilty and he has by no means been found guilty yet? The FA clearly has made a decision on it before the case has even began by hyperinflating the problem on the pitch to help our media lap it up and record every single breath relating to it so they can publish a cheap story. Utterly ridiculous in my opinion, clearly trying to bottle it after they have inflamed it. Thats my opinion, but i want to be fascinated by other fans and maybe your own opinion ed?
CFCFOREVER! {Ed002's Note - I have no opinion on the matter.}

The reason why the handshakes were withdrawn was that the whole QPR team had declined to shake hands with JT.
