Man U posters have been saying all week that deal for thiago is pretty much tied up. Is that the case or do we have a chance of signing him? Thanks dave

Not sure about us signing thiago. Don't see the point really considering we have mata and Oscar, who are better IMO.

But, I have seen barely any of him so if anyone could tell me his play style/favoured position and if he would be worth buying.

Mata is the only natural CAM mid we have and Oscar is very versatile.

Thiago brings us that something special in the pivot.

Really hope he signs.

Agree0 Disagree0

Thiago is essentially Xavi mk. 2. In other words, a natural fit for the pivot/deep lying playmaker role. Completely different player from Mata and would compliment Oscar ahead of him. I'm resigned to us not getting him but would be over the moon if we did.

Agree0 Disagree0

Imagine the options of playing styles with ramires, lamps, essien, van ginkel, alcantara, mceachran, luiz.

Agree0 Disagree0

Barcelona will rather sell Fabregas than Thiago.

Agree0 Disagree0

Chelsea will sign v. Ginkel Thiago isn't really an option. Signings will be Schurrle- (already done), Ruddy, van Ginkel, Shaw (will stay at Soton next season), one more striker (Rooney, Cavani or Lewandowski.

Some of u fans tickle me, stop putting Josh Mcechran in your future prediction squads because although we own him he will never. ever. be a regular at Chelsea. He is not good enough, just let it go.

Agree0 Disagree0

He is only 20 mate.

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree, he is not good enough. At 20 you should be in the first team if good enough

ed018 could you update us on the chelsea transfer news? {Ed018's Note - I don't have much to add to what I've said today}

Ed is it true we have launched a bid for Kondogbia. The president of seville says they require a £6m transfer fee as they own 50% of the player, a following 50% is owned by 3rd party ownership which would be another £6m.

Is this true at all Ed and do you see making a real push to acquire him this transfer window.

PB1989 {Ed018's Note - lets wait and see what happens over the next few days}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Now i'm excited and by know means does that mean I will abuse you if we don't get him ha

Hope the ownership issues and the supposed Real Madrid interest won't cause any problems.

Thanks for answering Ed {Ed018's Note - there are a lot of teams interested in him and I'm not saying He will end up at Chelsea}

Agree0 Disagree0

I completely understand Ed thank you for the reply

Would the loaning of Marin to Seville have any bearing on our wish to sign Kondogbia

And with our wish for a new striker do you see Torres or ba leaving this summer.

Many thanks

Looking ino release fee for cavani and think it might actually be 70 not 63. 63 would be for Napoli with 10% going to former club.

Adl quote from march: The clause exists, though, and if some nutter is willing to pay 70m for him, which would mean a net fee of 63m for Napoli, we are ready to listen to the offer.

Guys stay away from Cavani saga. The news about him are all over the place and often contradict each other and themselves. Do not listen to anybody until the CFC confirms. Proitos

Hi Ed, do you think we could make a bid for lewondowski when the transfer window opens? Or is Bayern his only destination?
Cheers

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Marin is wack. he had game time just did nothing in that time to deserve more. most people who rate marin think moses is shocking now that's a joke

Official Chelsea website have announced that Marko Marin is going to Sevilla for a season long loan.

Best of luck to him, hope he manages to get more minutes than he did at Chelsea this year!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

He deserved more minutes he's actually a very good player. Rather him stayed and used.

Agree0 Disagree0

But I'd like to see him get game time anywhere rather than a repeat of last season, hopefully he'll be a sweetener for a kondogbia deal

Agree0 Disagree0

He got plenty of minutes but was awful in every single one.

Marin loaned to Sevilla to take navas's game time. Great move for the club and maybe something to do with Kondogbia or Negredo, who knows?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Agree with steve on this the conditions last night had ahuge effect. and spain were dreadful he's the only one who was looking for a killer ball or attacking his man. on the spanish team of course italy done ok

Torres look lost in the semi final mr so so no more tahiti we need cavani or any top striker it's now or never roman.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Couldn't disagree more. He played alright and worked hard for the team. As the game went on the conditions clearly affected him (and most other players on the pitch).

Agree0 Disagree0

Definately agree with Steve_B on this one. Few driving runs at the defense and he looked pretty sharp, but you could see he was absolutely knackered at the end of the game.

I keep thinking it, and I know everyone thinks he will adapt quickly but I am a little worried about Cavani. Everyone is pinning their hopes on him being the best thing ever. I just don't think it is going to be as simple as that.

Agree0 Disagree0

Not a Chelsea fan but I thought he was one of Spain's best players last night.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think Torres has had a good tournament.

We need a proper holding midfielder and De Rossi will be good. He'll give us another 3-5yrs before replacement.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Mcechran will never ever make it at chels he ain't good enough

Good to see that Mourinho seems intent on using players from our youth setup, we have great players coming through. would rather see them in the first team over the next couple of seasons than sign new players from outside.

Chalobah ran the midfield in the Championship last season and, although not every game, he is certainly ready to feature for our first team, hopefully taking Mikel's place in the squad.

Would like to see McEachran back in the first team squad for next season too, I still have my doubts as to wether he can make it or not however - is Cleverley at United a better player - since Fergie gave him a chance he's broken into the England setup.

Glad to see Todd Kane get a year of first team football sorted for next season, he should shine in that Blackburn side and be ready to deputise for Azpilicueta in 2014/15.

Looking forward to the progress of Nathan Ake, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Patrick Bamford, John Swift, Lewis Baker etc.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I think Cleverly breaking into the England set up shows how poor we are as a national team.

Agree0 Disagree0

Very true PB! But he was a regular in the Championship winning Utd team - would love to see McEachran given the same opportunity this season for us.

Agree0 Disagree0

Think Wallace will be back up for Azpili next season.

I like Kane but he's been loaned to Blackburn where's Wallace is being loaned to Roma.

I think 1 is a tad better than the other.
