It's unfortunate that some fans question Torres's work ethic on the pitch. The guys works his balls off out there and certainly is not playing bad. It's a mystery to me why he isn't scoring but it's not do to sulking out there

Torres will only score if he take penalty. but it still 50/50..lol..
juz play lukaku starts from now..no torres anymore..

am i the only one unimpressed with sturridge, he scored some tap ins and that was about it. I feel he is quite selfish with the ball.
Believable13
Unbelievable6
We missed at least ten 100% chances because he didn't pass. Never fights for the 50/50 ball either.
Agree4
Disagree2
Mate I don't rate Sturidge. Not on the wing anyway, we would have more chance on goal with a proper winger. May b as a centre forward, but not out wide. So I agree with u mate.
Agree3
Disagree2
I completely agree on the 50/50 balls. I can't remember how many times the ball has dropped between him and the opposition yet he shies away. Disgusting.
Agree3
Disagree1
Totally agree, but you do have to take into consideration he is 21, and very arrogant as the best strikers should be.
Its that cockiness that makes him a goal threat.

If Chelsea sign Lucas and hazzard would be good to let sturidge play more central role. Also Kyle walker and Cole charging down the flanks would be devastating . AVB take note

I think meireles has been poor more often than not, a good squad player but doesn't seem up for a starting role every week, yet still gets it!

Mereiles, cole, malouda n torres really poor..

No torres anymore pliz..he has no passion to play..
Agree2

No passion? Seems to me he works as hard as anyone out there.

No passion? Torres works his nuts off every game...he's the most hard working player in our team along with Ramires!

When was the last time torres has had athrough ball passed to him it our midfield , when was the last time cole crossed a good ball in 2 the box? were a team with major problems, goin through our 1st team squad list nt even half of the players are worth havin after this season. cole, lampard, meireles, mikel, malouda, kalou, drogba, terry, bosingwa they are all in decline or simply not good enough
Agree1
Disagree2
Lampard is our top scorer, so while he may have declined slighty (due to hernia problems) he certainly is still of 'our standard' whatever you mean by that.

i really do not see why romeu has gone down the pecking order so much, hes been such an excellent player this season, and then you see the likes of malouda on.
Believable4
Unbelievable1
Completely different players in different positions. Being rested for an FA Cup 4th round game i suspect. He has by no means gone down the pecking order. And with Essien back it provides more competion. If we can manage to sign a midfielder/winger this window, do not expect to see much more of malouda.

Malouda is only on the pitch so that teams can see what they can buy.

Surely that would make people not want to buy him?

Hey ED, regarding the new Financial Fair Play rules, there is one MASSIVE flaw.
Basically, the biggest flaw is that “big” teams such as Manchester United, Barcelona and Real Madrid have huge incomes. FFP will allow these teams to spend all that money on wages and transfers.
However small teams, for example Wigan and Bolton, have very low incomes and hence cannot be funded by external sources in order to compete with larger teams. It both disallows teams from competing now and creates a huge barrier to any team benefiting from an investment from a well funded source such as Manchester City and Paris St. Germain have recently received.
Consequently, in the end the big teams will get bigger, while spending less than they do today, and the smaller teams will stay where they are.
Any thoughts ED?
Thanks
Samir {Ed002's Note - You don't understand the purpose of the FFP rules I am afraid. The purpose of the rules is not to give the likes of Wigan the same spending power as Manchester United. The purpose is to stop clubs spending more money than they can generate - so to stop the like of Anzhi and Manchester City receiving massive external funding and to stop clubs taking on massive debt to buy players.}
