I've heard we may be in for this matt miazga guy and I wondered of anyone could shed any light on how good he is and things like that. Also ed if we were to sign miazga would this effect any chance for us pushing for a player like stones or Marquinhos in the summer.

American - 20 years old - 6'4" - centre back - highly rated by Drogba.

Shouldn't be mentioned in the same sentence as stones or Marquinhos. I really think it comes down to him being a promising young player with a contract that ends next January making him reasonably priced.

Stones is so over-rated it's unreal. He's mentioned highly because he's good on the ball but his defending is average. Zouma's ten times better IMO.

I have to say that I also think that Stones is being massively over-rated - have you seen Everton's defensive mess this season!

Question to ed002 who would you personally like to see as next Chelsea manager? Thanks in advance!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - Roberto Stellone of Frosinone. Another is German Roger Schmidt of Bayer Leverkusen. I would be happy with either.}

27 Jan 2016 19:26:42
Thanks, interesting.

Ed002 are you a Chelsea fan? I've always just assumed you were somewhat impartial but the way you answered that implies you're a blue. Apologies if I'm reading too much into your reply.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - I am not overly concerned but do support Chelsea - not a fan though.}

27 Jan 2016 20:26:19
Hey Ed002,

I'm fascinated by Your reply as to who You would like to see appointed the next Chelsea Manager.

Can I ask why these two would be Your Personal Favourites above all other potential Managers.

And how likely at all would either of these Coaches actually be to taking over the Managerial Hotseat.

Thank You in advance.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - There is no secret message - I just answered the question as asked. I ould not expect either.}

27 Jan 2016 21:40:05
Ed002,

I was just curious as to why You had mentioned those 2 coaches in particular for being Your faves if You were making the appointment.

I'm aware of Roger Schmidt and the style He promotes but I know next to nothing about Roberto Stellone.

It was really just My curiousity.

Thanks anyway.

Have to say I am mightily happy with the business we have conducted so far, selling Ramires for £25million is a great deal, especially when it isn't to a European competitor. The signing of Pato excites me, I always rated the kid and if he stays fit, we might just have ourselves a coup, not to mention, he can play in CL as he won't be cup tied like other mooted targets.

As always time will tell but the second half of the season is looking a lot more promising than the first!

27 Jan 2016 16:50:17
I admit I will miss Ramires for all his cackhandedness and lacklustre passing and dribbling he always gave us his all and when it really mattered Ramires always turned up. He had moments of magic with arguably two of the importamt chipped goals in our history. Massively undercredited with our 2012 champions league success. I forgot how good a right mid he was for us that season. Rami u will be missed.

I have to admit I am more excited by the interest in Matt Miazga than signing Pato.

A big thank you to Ramires for his effort and that 'where were you when. ' moment in Barcelona.

27 Jan 2016 21:47:11
Ranires will be missed as he never gave other than 110%, often almost single handedly lifted us when others were lacklustre and was indeed key in success against Barcelona in both legs of 2012 tie. Some may have been more skilful, but few indeed tried so whole heartedly and uncomplainingly for the club. Hope we get a similar spirit and warhorse as a replacement. Am sure we all wish him well in the rest of his career.

I am in total agreement, not the best passer but without doubt one of the most committed players I have seen in 50 years of supporting CFC. He will be missed and wish him the best for his future.

Shame to see Ramires go but I think it's a good move for the club if it gets Loftus-Cheek more game time this season. Thanks for the chip at Barcelona that'll live long in my memory.

27 Jan 2016 16:40:53
Ramires was like Marmite, you either loved him or hated him. I was never a fan but like everyone 'that chip' is just one of those goals that sticks in your memory. As many have suggested it has to be Ruben Loftus-cheek time otherwise I can see him looking for an exit.

There's no guarantee that RLC will get more playing time.On the other hand we have lost fantastic player. Now rumours started that Cahill wants out too and we are signing one leg Pato.
WTF is happening with Chelsea football club?

Agree2 Disagree2

27 Jan 2016 19:34:57
Antibot: Not so sure about fantastic player but each to his own but I agree WTF. Last May Champions and who, if all rumours are true, would believe we could go into February with one leg Pato and knees are shot Van Persie and Hazard on the bench; as you said WTF is happening to our a) youth programme and b) transfer dealings.

Neither Cahill nor Ramires are good enough for our starting 11 but neither want to be squad players. They are pretty decent back-ups but I don't think there's one Chelsea fan out there that believes they're good enough to start for us. So I'm not entirely sure why them leaving is a bad thing, except that if Cahill were to leave then we will start having problems in regards to HG players.

The loan signing of Pato isn't exactly something to necessarily get excited about but it's the January window and there generally aren't a lot of options around. It's a temporary fix until the summer when a new manager can come in and make their own decisions.

Fuser, it seems that you have very short memory. Ramires and Cahill won everything there is for Chelsea. Extremely ungrateful attitude. Plus both players could still give quite a lot to Chelsea. Personally I believe that sig

The club hasn't a clue. Because we keep dicking around and sacking managers. What's the point of us having long term transfer targets? What's the point of us having a full time manager? It's obvious Roman and his merry men are in charge of the transfer dealings and the manager has to use the players that the "board" sign. Crap really. Not how a football club should be run IMO. Especially with the signings we've just made or making. dogbidji, baba, Remy, falcao, hector, pato, Maizga. All never good enough for Chelsea let's be honest. And if you think they are, then you are kidding yourselves. people say they want the youth played, but then on another post they want world class signings. Which is it to be? A few years of crap while youth play, or making a play for the title with world class stars? Can't have it both ways. We had our "transition" period when the likes of deco, Ballack, drogba, Ferreira, Essien etc left. Yet never properly replaced them. Kept with the same players when some of them should have been the ones who left, ivanovic, Cahill (stands off his player far too often, ) oscar (too inconsistent) . But nope we give them another contract.

Goodbye Ramires, thanks for everything and good luck in China- that goal in the Nou Camp will forever make you a cult hero at Chelsea. Now let's give RLC a chance to make his own legacy.
