Eds its looking likely mourinho will be our new manager. If this is the case, do you see him recruiting marco materazzi as assistant. Personally I think it would be a good appointment.
Plus we look to have another gem coming through the ranks in loftus cheek. Tall, quick and powerfull. Toure and barry had to kick him out the game yesturday. The money roman has poured into the youth setup looks to be paying off nicely. Also with our top targets looking to be heading elsewhere, I would be happy with:
Mario gomez
Aubameyang
Alexis sanchez
Varane
Shaw.

All players I believe would be available for transfer for less than the reported £100 mil that reportedly is there to spend.
Its more important to have a great squad than a quality 11 without backup.

Thanks for that when would you think it be comfirmed {Ed018's Note - I'd think in the next two weeks. Maybe shortly after Madrids season is done}

When Madrid's season eventually ends sometime in the next twenty years, we might get a chance to find out, in the meantime, it's another week of no news and pure speculation to come.

A lot of people see it as KDB OR Schurrle, but why not buy Schurrle and keep KDB? We could certainly use the depth, especially if Oscar is moved to a position in midfield

It's not that we see it as an either or situation. I'm sure we'd all be happy with both. However the situation that seems to be presented to us, is that Leverkusen wants KDB on loan as part of the deal. So if we want Schurrle we have to give them KDB, which many fans don't like as they prefer KDB.

I've gotten to the point that I'd much rather have aubeymayang. He's prolly around the same price but we would keep kdb in that situation and I think he has tremendous upside.

after missing out on our main striker targets I believe we should be looking at,

1. Higuain
2. Jovetic
3. Aubameyang
4. Gomez
5. Rooney? Tevez?

my preference would be higuain, madrid have already stated that he would be leaving in the summer and he has a fantastic goal scoring and assisting record at madrid. he's still 25 and would only cost around 20 mil and with mourinho coming to the bridge maybe he will follow.

I'd be happy with Higuain however it looks likely that he'll be heading to Juventus and if not there seems to be interest from PSG and Arsenal.
Jovetic is wanted by Arsenal and Man City, and Juve as well I think.
Aubameyang is a possibilty.
Gomez, we have no reported interest atm however he's likely to leave Bayern this summer and seemingly would like a move to England.
Rooney, wouldn't want. Tevez I'd be happy with however I don't think it's possible and his desire seems to be to leave England.

Besides Rooney if rather we keep lukaku here and bring in aubeymayang to complement him.

So disappointed about falcao. Although Monaco with the players they have got will prob win titles and leagues now even at there highest they will be French ligue1 champions. Hardly ambitious. Falcao could be playing in champ league and in best league in world. Money talks hey.

Read that Loftus-Cheek looked pretty good in the game vs City, and Ake as well. Maybe RLC could get a couple games at CFC next season. Perhaps he could be the midfielder we've been missing in about 2 to 3 years

What behind McEachran, Chalobah, Romeu, Ramires, Mikel, Lampard, Luiz and possibly Khediera. We need to loan and sell some CM talent this year.

Yeah he looks really good. As does Christiansen. Although it was friendly Ba's finishing is horrendous and we really so need to strengthen. But it was just an exhibition

I'd rather play Chalobah or Loftus-Cheek more than buy Khedira. I know I'll probably get a lot of stick for it, but the club invested heavily in youth and it's about time we start using the talent we've got

Franco

I watched the game today and RLC was outstanding for a 17yr old up against Barry and Toure. Quick feet, good range of passing and a presence in CM. Really excited for his future. 7

I have seen RLC a few time for the youth teams and have never been as impressed by him as I was last night, for a 17 year old to not look out of place is a big deal and if he doesn't make it into the Chelsea first team set up within a couple of years something is clearly wrong with the way we bring players through.

As a few have mentioned we have a lot of young talent in the middle. Josh and Chalobah have done really well this season on loan and I think one of those two needs to remain at the club and start getting appearances under his belt. My main concern with Jose returning is that he is not the best at bringing players through.

Ake was the stand out youngster for me but RLC was also very good and composed on the ball.

I don't really get the whole, we should keep Chalobah so he can start getting appearances thing. He'll maybe get 5-10 appearances mostly in the cup or as a sub if anything. I'd rather loan him out to a team where he'll get 15-20 appearances minimum mostly as a starter. It'll be 100x better for his development. For me, I like Lukaku's philosophy of, if I'm not going to be a starter then i'd rather go on loan and get better.

Someone said on tv a bit back that it would count for the capital one / fa cup games?

There are no specific competition bans in the EPL. So it would be in the league or waived.
