A few things have been mentioned about the same players, KDB, shurrle, Lukaku, but nothing mentioned of Essien's return. I personally thing he has looked solid and sharp! what's everyone thinking?

He can't get up and down like he used to, but just sit him in front of back four. Perfect defensive midfielder. Jak.

He would start ahead of Lampard and Mikel for me as things stand. he's looked active and good both ends of the field.

I thought Essien was one of our best players in the first half (obviously). I'm really glad to see him back and looking strong.

Its pre season, even marin looked good last season.

I think he is a good player to have in the squad because of his attitude and versatility (can cover CM/RB/CB) but I'd still like us to bring in De Rossi and sell Mikel as well as loaning out a couple players in that position before the end of the transfer window.

With so many young players eager to burst through, I was wondering which talents Chelsea fans are most excited about? Courtois, Kalas, Ake, Romeu, Wallace, McEachran, Chalobah, De Bruyne, Piazon, Van Ginkel, Lukaku, Thorgan Hazard, Brown, Traore (if he passes his trial and gets a work permit). the list goes on! Looks like a very nice future for CFC.

De Bruyne for me, class for Bremen last year and has looked a gem in pre-season, at this rate I can see him bieng a starting 11.

KDB is our new sunshine, the guy will be fantastic player this coming season but is it me or it looks like Moses is better than Schurrle and if we go into the season with Essien, Lampard, Ramirez and Mikel as our DM do u guys think we would be okay.

U guys seem to be forgetting that he's a new player in a new country, just give him time.

Yea Shürrle isn't used to our style yet, Moses is, give him some time, I'm sure he'll be a great investment

The only thing you can fairly take from schurrle's pre season is that he looks to cut in way too much. Needs to vary it up a bit more.
