eds, i could be looking too much into this so if i am just say. But is there any link between us cancelling the loan of Cortouis back to Genk all of a sudden and letting Athletico Madrid loan him instead because it could sway the Aguero deal somewhat? Thanks {Ed002's Note - Gotta be true.}

There was a post about plan B, if we don'tget our sought after targets, such as Neymar, Aguero, Pastore, Modric. Well my friend, there is always plan B - we don't need to strenthen. We can always find a Zhirkov, a Bosingwa to upease our fanbase.

with just over a month left to sign players its really worrying I have to say. where is the fire the passion Chelsea. I thought Chelsea would have had some big names signed by now and now it looks like we aint getting anyone that big of a name. Modric I would have tought was our best chance of signing but this seems to have cooled down now as spurs owners again claims hes not for sale. and Essien injured I thought that would give them a reason to sign a really big name and chelsea arent even close to signing anyone right now. I am sorry to say all but if we keep the squad we have now for next season I am ripping up my year ticket and everything next season you may kiss it goodbye

Ok fellow fans.. Just a thought...I am of the opinion, much like many of you, that chelsea lack a flair player - now it seems unlikely that at this point in time we will likely sign neymar, aguero or Sanchez, as the club won't be held to ransom. When you look at the market perhaps the first two aforementioned would have best suited Chelsea as they can play in a front 3 of what is likely to b our formation but can also play as a second striker. However, given the unlikelihood of their arrival let's look at alternatives - I've chosen to focus on three players although there are probably many more. In question, Mara, hazard and di Maria are all talented could arguably make an immediate impact and although not cheap wouldn't cost as much as some of the prices we have been quoted for other players. My question to fellow fans including editors, is in what order would you want these players? I put di Maria third on my list coz he's pretty much limited to left Wing - the other two for me are hard to split - hazard more flair, maybe Mata to compliment Torres better? I'd love to see either really - I would think Valencia would be more willing to sell. I don't think this is fantasy football at all and well within chelseas means. The addition of one of these players plus either modric or pastors and a fb (I'd prefer micah Richards to vdw) would have us in very good stead. Thoughts people? Seems realistic to me? Eds I would love to hear your thoughts? END RANT

Ed any chance of Mascherano being looked at for an Essien replacement? Busquets is quality and with Xaxi, Iniesta and perhaps Fabregas he would struggle for a game. I personally don't think he is good enough for Chelsea let alone Barcelona but it was just a passing thought.

Ed, would you say that Chelsea are not aggressively pursuing players at the moment due to AVB still evaluating the squad? It seems modric and Parker and the two more public possibilities sounded as well as pastors but it seems particularly with modric and pastors that we place a bid and then wait for a few weeks before we place another. Is this simply negotiation tactic or is AVB still not 100% on whoj he wants? {Ed002's Note - No and I don't appreciate attempts to put words in to my mouth.}

is it me or did everyone think chelsea were going to go all out on a spending spree to bring in TOP players. I am losing fate in Chelsea and I am really worried as it seems all our targets are turning away from us and going somewhere else or staying put. Chelsea need big top players this season or its bye bye to all competitions. Looks to be a disappointing Transfer window AGAIN this summer

Everyone stop stressing the window ain't closing any time soon and rumour from within the club is Romans super keen to do lots of business for the right players. I would expect several top signings over the coming weeks, who.... We'll have to wait and see.

Ed I've been watching the pre season matches and it's the same as last season ed no width and no creative players How is Torres meant to score when he just ain't getting the service?? Ed you don't have to be a rocket scientist to see these things so why is villas boas keep saying he ain't changing much with the team?? If we don't sign at least 2 attacive midfielders and 2 play makers I'm throwing my 20 year long season ticket away because myself and the rest of the Chelsea loyal don't deserve to watch that rubbish we saw last year Also ed please tell me that we ain't interested in Parker??? If we miss out on pastore I'm worried, as he is the only advanced playmaker we have really been looking at, which also happens to be what we need most-or a winger-
Am I the only one concerned by this? I don't want to be negative, but every other big player we have been linked with seems to be set for elsewhere, I assume there is a large chance pastore will too, if that happens, then what?
You're not the only one worried about pastore, he is the type of player i've wanted us to sign for a long time, ever since kaka was rumoured to be coming to chelsea, i've noticed that's exactly what we've been missing.
The trouble with ALL transfers is that if the player himself does not want to move, then no extra effort in pushing the transfer will help. Pastore may well only be inclined to go to Barcelona or stay pu at Palermo. If so, we then turn to another target, Chelsea will have 4/5 targets per position they view as in need of strengthening. personally, I would LIKE Cahill, Parker, Modric, Lukaku, Di Maria.
