has anybody thought that one of the reasons torres is not playing is that avb doesnt want to risk injury and just keep him fresh for a big run of games in january while didi is the ACN? people are too obsessed with controversy

Its nothing like saying that! if torres was to play and get injured then we would be down to one centreforward(lukaku) , 5 games in January would be a struggle for the lad {Ed002's Note - Sturridge is a centre forward as well.}

It's a load of rubbish about Torres leaving or wanting to leave, you don't spend £50 million on a player to get rid of him a year later. Torres will be a Chelsea legend and will be around for a long time.

Chelsea legend haha,yeah,one goal every 10 games is the suff of legends innit,if he were any good hed be in the team,cant afford to carry passengers choose who they are,definite weak link,get shut.

I was one of those who got really excited when Torres joined,but the lad does not seem happy.Also looks far from being sharp.This said should he not be coming out for the second string every week to try and regain some fitness/sharpness.We cannot afford to be using him at the moment while we are chasing city and utd.I thought that's the whole point in having a reserve team,so that not only youngsters get to mix with first teamers but first getting some game time.This is not degrading a player,you have to look at it like Torres in his good days was the best striker in world football.You just can't lose that.I would really like him to stay but if your not performing then I suppose it's in his hands.If he wants to stay then it's time to show the fans what he can do,if not then move him on in the summer possibly swap deals for falcao/higuain/Gomez

He'll be back to liverpool to play beside suarez till carroll can find form ,, my guess {Ed002's Note - Just to try and clarify this. There is no "for sale" sign, but if he is not performing well and cannot get in to the team and if he wants to move on something may be facilitated at some point. Certainly there is no £20M figure or anything like that. With Anelka effectively already gone and Drogba and Kalou away in January/February it seems unlikely that he will move even if another striker comes in. Chelsea are looking actively at new strikers at the moment but it is entirely unrelated to any situation that there may or may not be with Torres. If he does eventually move, I really don't see Liverpool as a destination.}
