Hi Ed's do you think Chelsea will try and sign sudakov this summer
Many thanks.

{Ed002's Note - Heorhiy/Georgiy Sudakov (AM) Brighton and Barcelona interest has gone with the outrageous financial demands. Arsenal have been regularly scouting the player but it has gone no further. Seen by Chelsea as an option to Arsen Zakharyan who they were repeatedly blocked from signing and eventually moved to Real Sociedad - but they will not pay the asking price. Manchester United have sent scouts but it is hard to see their need for an AM player. Manchester City, Spurs, Liverpool, Aston Villa Napoli and Bayern Munich have also sent scouts but none have declared an interest. Juventus see him as a relaible replacement for Mohamed Ihattaren as they search for an AM player but again the finances are a significant issue but they may well win out.}

Ed002 you said brfore we are likely to sign him to replace gallagher, that still the case? And thanks so much for these answers.

{Ed002's Note - He is one of the options but the asking prices is more than Chelsea will pay, so it makes it difficult.}

Ed002, are Chelsea interested in Chris Fuhrich, Summerville and Teun Koopmeiners?

{Ed002's Note - Chris Führich (LW/AM) Took a long time to settle and has signed a new contract at Stuttgart, but Bayern Munich and Bayer Leverkusen both see him as an option. Chelsea has sent scouts but he is down the list for them, although their oreferred choices are currently unavailable.
Crysencio Summerville (RW/LW) Leeds have no interest in selling but his agent is looking for a step up and speaking with clubs about him - he has certainly approached Chelsea and Spurs and I suspect others. Bayer Leverkusen have spoken directly with Leeds. Agent is close to Aston Villa and the City Football Group. Any move will likely depend on promotion being gained or not. Leeds will look for a new contract. I am not aware of Liverpool making any approach yet but I understand Slot is a fan of the youngster from advice given to him by Sipke Hulshoff who knows him well. If he were to replace Salah, there has to be an element of risk but he may become first choice.
Teun Koopmeiners (DM/CM) Atalanta are reluctant to sell but his agent wants the player to be playing regularly in the Champions League with Newcastle, Juventus and Napoli having declared interest. Interest of Milan shifted to Tijjani Reijnders so they can be discounted. Liverpool offer a good option for the player but will be reluctant to meet the asking price - but they are very keen. Approaches were been made to Arsenal, Manchester United, Spurs and Chelsea although none have spoken with Atalanta and all have other targets for now but cannot be discounted. In particular Chelsea have considered him as a replacement if Conor Gallagher departs. Brighton and Aston Villa interest has gone. Juventus has a creative solution and will push for a summer move knowing that the player wants Juventus move. Marseille have walked away due to the quoted cost although a change of ownership could see a huge shift for them. Atalanta are seeking €60M if pressed to sell and feeling is Liverpool or Juventus will win out.}

Morning Ed02

I noticed on the Arsenal page when answering a question about Sesko you mentioned Chelsea had a preferred option who will most likely join.
Is our preferred option still Osimhen or has our interest moved on to another striker?
Many thanks in advance.

{Ed002's Note - It is.}

Thanks for the reply, exciting news if we manage to bring him to the club.

Personally would rather Sesko. Probably in the minority but Osimhen will command a much bigger fee and he’s injury prone. Having Jackson and Osimhen both going to AFCON at the same time would leave us short up front too in my opinion.

Ed002 what changed? Does osimhen want to join now? Are Napoli willing to negotiate lower than the clause? Lukakau or other players maybe involved?

{Ed002's Note - Victor Osimhen (S) Napoli made it clear to Chelsea who enquired in 2021 that even €100M would not buy the player - but they do maintain an interest and he has been first choice and expect an offer to be made in the summer - they have already assured Napoli that they will pay his release clause in full – but that may change.

Al Hilal may well have offered Napoli the huge fee they were looking for, but that may not suit the player just yet. Real Madrid could look to him as an option to Haaland but Madrid would want to offer players in exchange. He has signed a new contract and, at the behest of his agent, included a release clause. Arsenal have a preferred option and see the price as too high. PSG have him on a list of potential Mbappe replacements.

If Manchester City were to lose Haaland, he would be an option. Manchester United may offer a wildcard option but the change of staff could end any interest. There is a suggestion that Liverpool have negotiated directly with the player and his agent and not spoken to Napoli.

Given Napoli registered a complaint against Liverpool over another player last year, it would seem unlikely, or particularly stupid. In the players hands next summer - may decide to stay but there will be a return from Michael Emanalo with a very good offer but I understand that both PSG and Chelsea have already informed Napoli that remain keen - but Chelsea have not had a positive response from the player - perhaps because of the lack of Champions League football.

Chelsea are already looking at options but could make a take-it-or-leave-it offer below his release clause with discussions over one or two other players going on between the clubs but Chelsea relaim confident a deal can be agreed.}

Agree,
I’ve posted about Gyokeres, but the fee is just as high as Osimhen.

ED 002

Below is something I have copied from another site and it's referring to Estevao Willian. Do you share the hype?

"An absolute top signing. Chelsea fans don't know what they are getting.

If he was in Germany/ France/ Spain he would have 50/ 60 league games and cost a club 80-100m

One of the most intelligent players I've seen".

{Ed002's Note - He is not yet 18 so no.

Estevao Willian (RW/F) Another kiddie scouted by Manchester City and Arsenal. Chelsea have made a proposal to take him in 2025 when he turns 18. Real Madrid and Barcelona will likely do the same. Bayern Munich, Manchester United and Borussia Dortmund have sent scouts. PSG will offer the full buy out clause in a single payment but his agent wants Barcelona or Chelsea and the player prefers Barcelona but they have the emerging Lamine Yamal, so PSG and Barcelona may both step back. Expect Chelsea to strike a deal for him to join in 2025.}

Terras, I think I saw something like that. However, I think it refers to Cole Palmer, not Estevao. I saw a tweet with that text, but it was from shortly after Palmer's transfer to Chelsea got reported.

I’ve been viewing a few video clips of the lad. He looks a proper talent as they always do in clips.

Just hope he continues his development and hope to see him playing for us after next season.

Kakuta and McEcheacran central midfield bossing it in a Champions League game under Carlo – expectations set that eve, dashed. A fairly recent academy player I thought might make the step up was Lewis Baker. And of course Lewis Hall, though he scored an absolute peach for Newcastle just the other night. Remind me – are we looking for a left back?

Look up the story of Yann Gueho. I'd never heard of him. Shows the absolute importance of mentality to go with skill.

Is it true the club have an interest in signing Ramon Sosa?
Many thanks.

{Ed002's Note - Ramon Sosa (LW/RW) BlueCo are looking to authorise the payment of the player's €18.5M termination clause and move the player to Strasbourg. If it works well he may get a future move to Chelsea.}

Hi Ed002 - is it likely that Chalobah will stay with the club this upcoming window? He's been really impressive coming into the team since being fit and it would be a shame if he goes.

{Ed002's Note - Trevoh Chalobah (CB/DM) – Bayern Munich, Napoli, Crystal Palace and Roma remain very keen. There has also been a discussion with Milan with an extrordinary part exchange offer made. Player wants to leave for more game time and I suspect he will be allowed to leave if the right offer comes in. Something may be worked out with Crystal Palace. Spurs interest has gone for now. West Ham and Nottingham Forest may offer wildcard solutions. Manchester United had an offer rejected last summer but could return but I expect the coach to be gone by this summer, and interest may depart with that although being Home Grown makes him attractive. Atletico Madrid and Bayern are in discussions and have asked about his fitness. Will likely leave in the summer regardless of long-term contract but if he gets a guarantee of game time he may well stay.}
