Very pleased with everyone, only negative is we didn't see timo or havertz But a massive massive win, really pleased with malang sarr, never looked out of place, a direct Cho is better to see, and ziyech who I questioned massively was superb, kepa who had little to do done his job late on also, so I'll very much enjoy my humble pie. Now is time to rest, recover, get James back, get chalobah back, and v Plymouth we can get some minutes in before bringing home the world club cup, a win changes the mood and we delivered, well done,

Good result, decent performance but Spurs are poor. Very important 3 points. We have a break now, then hopefully play some academy players in FA cup and a break in the sun and win the World Club Championship and get a decent run in Premier League and win the League Cup.

Sounds a doddle Jimbo.

I have absolutely hammered Ziyech on here…. but wow! that was a terrific performance by the boy. I’m stuffing my humble pie as I post, it is nit choking as I’m grinning ear to ear. IF that is his standard? then Chelsea might just have a player. Read some criticism on the No 9, I thot Rom was fine, he gives the team a shape to play off, yes me tuning was out. But he worked and pinned the CBs, CHO looked better because of it and Mason was quite excellent. Sarr looks so accomplished and with Chalobah pushing at that end of the pitch maybe the transition in the defensive third is not so terrible. ( assuming Rudiger and Christiansen leave) . If that is the case Chelsea will definitely need Tiago to help these lads. However, The biggest difference for me, was the intent of the team. They played to win the game, their football was front foot and absolutely relentless in all areas of their application. At 2-0 there was a five minute spell where that dipped, giving Spurs a few corners. But that would be nitpicking.

Tom, believe it or not, I try to stay positive about Chelsea, amazing about how good a win against Spurs makes me feel. That said, Spurs have a very poor squad, Conte is already looking frustrated. Sorry, to say, Lukaku is another striker doomed by the curse, unless he scores 12 plus goals in the PL, he is a waste of money. I think he regrets leaving Italy. He also looks overweight compared to when he was playing in Italy.

Good post Stephen and no negativity towards Jorginho. Things must be looking up!

Jimbo, I’m not sure how fit Lukaku is and if he is as fit as he was pre that nasty injury he got earlier in the season.

He showed glimpses today and on more than one occasion we played the sort of ball into him I think he requires to show his best. He is predictable and that isn’t good for a CF who I think still has a below average first touch.

I still think he will hit the target more times in a game than Werner but that’s a pretty low bar.

Lukaku did have some good moments today, especially second half when linking up better with team mates and there was that one nice spin to lose marker and get off a fierce shot that unfortunately went at good height for Lorris. But cannot press v effectively and did seem a bit slow around yhe pitch.

Spurs have a dreadful squad jimbo, take kane and son out of that squad and it would be fighting relegation standards, which is not good enough for the biggest following in London.

? Jorginho? very good TomB. I made you a promise at the new year that I would not to tear into him every game. I thot he played okay to well. More forward passes, less dithering and less infuriating back or square passes when everyone in the stadium is roaring to going forward. He was at fault for the Kane “goal” tho. Ooops, sorry but I am only stating what I seen……One thing. Does he practice his shooting? On more then three occasions in the first half he picked up the ball in a pocket of space in front of the 18 yard line and never once hit a shot or even drive at the defence and try a little give and go to break the defence line.

I think he only practices penalties Stephen.
