Colwill, Guehi, Mbuyamba, Christensen, Ampadu, Trev Chalobah all play CB comfortably in a back 3 and are 25 or under.

Not all will make it at Chelsea in the end of course, but if we're buying a CB I would hope it's a CB with experience, who's top class and can lead those young talents on the pitch.

Jackson; Tapsoba can lead, he’s a very good player, personally, I will take Tapsoba over Varane at the moment.

To be honest I don't think we need a CB unless for some magical reason Marquinhos or Kimpembe became available.

Otherwise, save your money, use in house solutions and focus on the bigger areas of need: central midfield and striker.

Azpilicueta, Silva, Rudiger and Christensen all have contracts ending next summer (I think) . Azpilicueta and Silva may well be playing out their last season's at the club, but, if Rudiger and Christensen don't sign new deals, it's unlikely the club will risk loosing them on frees. Zouma may also look to move on, if he doesn't see himself playing more; which, with a back 3, he probably won't.

There may well be some turnaround at CB this summer. At the moment getting Christensen to sign a new deal would be my priority. See what happens with Rudiger and Zouma, if one or both of them need replacing then look to an experienced CB.

I totally agree “j”. We aren’t sure what is going on in the background but I have the feeling at least one but maybe two CB’s will be leaving.

Does it mean anything when a player starts following a club on Instagram? I ask because it seems there are reports that Tapsoba noes follows Chelsea on Instagram. Could there be something there or is it just a case of a player following a club on a social media platform for just the sake of it?

I wouldn't read much into that at all Obinna, these guys are football fans too. He's from Burkina Faso, right? I imagine, just off the top of my head, he startled liking Chelsea when Traore came through here.
