Ed's. There's so many rumours swirling around at the moment, and these two aren't high profile name players so hopefully you don't mind me asking.

But we're supposedly interested in taking Ben Foster from Watford and Lewis Dunk from Brighton.

Is there any truth to our interest in those players?

Signing Ben Foster (37) is the stupidest thing we could ever do. It's fine to give Kepa another chance because of certain (financial) reasons but we should sign someone that the team can rely on for a full season if the need arises.

{Ed0666's Note - Comeon Drog....Do you really think Chelsea are gonna buy a 37 year old keeper to be their Number 1? I’m not sure if Lewis Dunk is a legitimate target either. I’d not expect either but I would be so so happy if I was proved wrong.

Gotta say foster doesn’t make a ton of sense for me. I get that the club may attempt to acquire competition for kepa rather than an actual replacement but it wouldn’t make sense to purchase a 37 year old keeper for likely one-third of what it would cost to purchase someone like Onana.

Yeah hopefully this is all garbage. We could sign Tagliafico/ Reguilon/ Cucurella + Ben White + Dean Henderson for less than what's being (apparently) asked for Chilwell + Dunk. And I'm sure the club is more than capable of making the right decisions. It's just a pity not to have Ed002's insights even if they're just to ease our nerves regarding these ridiculous rumors.
