First of all I would like to express my gratitude to
Ed002&Ed018 on theirs efforts and patience.
Question for Ed002 do you have any info regarding possible or probable transfer of Luke Shaw? Thanks in advance.

{Ed002's Note - Chelsea would be interested if he were available and an off of player plus cash has already been rejected.}

There is no possible or probable transfer of Luke Shaw this January, to Chelsea, Man. City, Man. Utd. etc, etc.

I suspect if Chelsea have already made an offer they will have been told this.

At the moment I would expect this situation to be the same for the summer but we all know that a lot changes with time. IMO Luke will not be wanting a move by the time Chelsea need to recruit a new LB so I suspect you will need to "shop" elsewhere.

No offense Martin but you have no chance of keeping him he will be a Chelsea player at some point we can offer him what you can't i.e Champs league football, Better wages, and to play under the best manager in the world. and to top it off he and his whole family are die hard Chelsea fans. And with your chairman looking like he's off to AC Milan at the end of the season anything could happen I agree that a January move is not probable but I suspect hell be a Chelsea player by the end of the summer.

I have provided you with my opinion, based upon a little more knowledge than seems to be around your site-or within the BBC. As I said, the future is impossible to predict-Champions League football next season for instance!? Will Luke be away in Brazil in the summer and considering whether he would have made it if sat on the Chelsea bench? Not going to happen? Think Walcott.

I would suggest you start to ignore the medias attempts to unsettle our young players. It is the way of the modern world, we all know it, but Cortese will have his own way of dealing with that. The Milan story is very old news and has been refreshed for a purpose, as was the "Chelsea supporter" story.

I'm just waiting for the next story that fracking will destroy Hampshire so St. Marys will no longer be able to host football!

Saint Martin - everytime, for the past 3-4 windows Lukes name has been banded about these pages, you chime in with the same opinion. We get it mate.

The tv don't have to create stories to make Luke want to play for Chelsea. Last year or possibly the year previous he was actively on twitter, supporting Chelsea during games - while at southampton. It doesn't take a genius to work out someone has been in his ear and asked him to cut it out, which he has. But he is a lifelong Chelsea fan. Grew up watching the blues under JM. Whether or not you make CL next year is completely irrelevant (I honestly hope you do). Luke would know once AC leaves, this year i'd imagine, he would be first choice. He knows we are huge admirers and actively looking for a deal. You may want to hope that he won't leave, but it shows little faith in the lad if you don't think he'd be first choice. He is exactly what JM looks for in a wide defender. Strong, good on the ball, can pick a pass, is terrific going forward, and mostly the kid can defend.

You've made your point numerous times, and although I really like southampton as a club, when the deal does happen - whether 2014, 15, 16 or 17, ill keep a mental note to remind you how wrong you were, and that if you cut Luke Shaw, he bleeds blue. You're point of Theo only reinforces the fact players don't look at you as a powerhouse club, whether right or wrong.

Good luck in your pursuit of European football, sincerely.

Well that didn't take long Southampton chairman hands in written resignation its all over ssn.

7.) 15 Jan 2014
Sorry Melbourne-suggest you reread my post. You seem to be trying to answer your own points rather than the ones I made.

However, not a problem. I was only trying give you a little more information.

What makes you think Chelsea will be in the Premiership in 2017? Not being nasty, but that is pure speculation as is the suggestion every transfer window that Luke (plus another 5 or 6 players) are desperate to leave.

Yes, I do try and correct the Chelsea fans each transfer window because they keep making the same mistake! Will they be correct one day in the future? Who knows, but I certainly don't see it any time soon!

Saint Martin stop being full of it mate chelsea will be in the premiership for years to come it's been along time since chelsea have finished mid table or bottom of the table which can't be said for Southampton. If the boy is a chelsea fan from day one then the dream of playing for the club you love means luke shaw moving to chelsea is the inevitable one day. Southampton won't be able to keep hold of a player if he wants to move and that's that. So there's no need to come on the chelsea pages being a hater

Saint Martin, looks more likely that Southampton won't be in the premier league more than Chelsea. Chairman quitting, Manager likely to follow either now or in the summer. Owners wanting to sell up. Sorry but the future doesn't look to good for you.
