We are playing City second stringers and only Gallagher's header off the post has really worried them. They had one off inside of our post too of course. It all has a bit of the feelmof a pre- sesson friendly or what it is, a game that has luttle meaning for either side, so litte at stake. If this was a match City had to win it would have been v different game with likes if de Bruyne and Haaland playing etc.

Stephen, we all see games differently and we all have varying views on players, team selection and tactics and that includes managers!

Given injuries I could understand the team selection but I would have preferred starting with Mudryke.

TomB, I’m honestly not criticising the team selection for today. Indeed I’m not getting at Lamps, GP or even TT (although I cannot help but think TT was the man who said it could be done whilst unloading Rom’s wages onto Inter) . But whatever, Somebody at the club thot that the team could challenge in the PL and the CL without a “natural” CF! …. It’s actually incredible. It’s like playing without a GK, you just don’t do it for a full season. Bolt a £600m spend on top of that, and it moves the shenanigans to another level of north sporting as well as financial suicide. If you had handed Chelsea’s spending and recruitment plan to their biggest rivals in the PL, they could not have done a better job.
I can even take the debate as to what exactly Lukaku brought to the party. I think Rom could have netted 15 PL goals, that-“might” have equated to 18 points. But to have nobody week in week out has been absolutely bloody criminal. Today included!

Tom, someone thought PEA was the proven PL striker. There is only one who might be available but we won’t be getting him. I fear we will make the same mistake in the summer.

Clueless great player but clueless can’t wait for the season to be over didn’t even watch the game today that’s how much the starting line up gave me the positivity to watch we are years behind they played there second team and we are still know where near them end of story. Yeah JBS, it’s the new me, positively only, I say “ unlucky missing chances “ what I mean, he had terrible conversation rate his whole time at city and misses too many chances and his not at city now so we can’t put them on a plate for him and create chance after chance after chance until he gets a goal “ so I’ll go with, Alvarez took his harder chance and sterling was just really unlucky,
