Much as most of is realistically expected given where we are right now compared to Bayern. Lewandowski some player but whole squad impressive and largely experienced and we do need some experience as well as youth and missed likes of Dave and Willian tonight. But positive was a bright first half bmdespite early dreadful defending for most of the youngsters including CHO and Tammy and even Emerson looked pretty good if more as usual coming forward than defending. Zouma and Barkley also had pretty reasonable games. Kovacic uncharectisrtically sloppy/ tired perhaps after recent hard slogs. Kante just coming back and it showed. But a reminder if hardly needed of how far we have to go.

In the main I agree with your post JBS with the exception of Barkley who I thought was dreadful.

When you get beat there are always lessons to be learned.

You're right, expect I was far too kind to Barkley and my positive comment on him based largely on late in the game impressive move/ skill - which he is capable of, though not nearly consistently enough and would admit he didn't do much else last night - where he drove past the Bayern defense and created a chance for CHO.
