I tend not to post anymore, for reasons obvious to long time posters, but feel this needs addressing.

Anyone who counts Mikel as the most useless player Chelsea has ever had, a) doesn't understand the role he is assigned and b) hasn't been a Chelsea supporter for longer than 3 years.

I understand why he isn't everyone's cup of tea, I really do, but you lot need to learn some respect. This is the bloke that on the weekend his father was kidnapped fronted up and put in a shift for my club. The man that no matter how many times he's been left out of the team, has never moaned to the media. Sure he earns plenty, but he loves Chelsea. The club. Its not for reasons of trophies, unlike a lot of you guys who wanna whinge when we lose a couple games, or slate JM when he doesn't do what you think he should, or bemoan his 'boring' tactics, which plenty of you have this season.

He loves the club, has been at the club through our most successful period, and I think its time soome of you, so called supporters, started showing a bit more respect, and at least attempted to support the club. Understand what it means to love Chelsea, its about passion, not trophies.

People are allowed to have an opinion about Mikel or the tactics Mourinho used or whatever else they want to have an opinion about. Just because you don't agree with their opinion or the way they word it does not mean they are being disrespectful or not being a proper supporter. The whole point of websites like this is so people can voice their opinion irrespective of whether you or other people agree.

Mel tbh, you should post more mate. I think some on here have forgotten what it means to be fans. I try to take a deep breath before I reply some posts. Fahim if I had replied to your post earlier I probably would have got you feeling worse than Mikel would if he read your post I chose not to for the Ed's remember when we use to have long threads of bashes and Ed002 would wipe it all out if it got out of hand so, yeah I saved him the time.

Woody I agree people are allowed opinions, it bothers me little if they agree with mine, but for you to say they are not being disrespectful when calling a player who has won over 7 trophies at the club 'the most useless player they have ever seen at Chelsea, shows how some of you need to learn what respect for the club means.

For that is an outlandishly disrespectful thing to say, and shows very little knowledge of the player, and the club.

Melbourne, I understand your point of view, but you must respect other peoples views too. One thing you fail to mention about older Chelsea fans is that we are honest about our players & clubs, unlike plastic fans at other clubs. Our older fan base calls it as they see it, they always have, if you don't understand that, then perhaps your not as older fan as you like to make out.

I'm a 24yo australian, Dave mate, I never once claimed how long I've supported the club, but have done for long enough not to feel the need to justify my support to anyone.

I remember Bates, and so am very thankful for Roman. I remember when an FA Cup win, was pure bliss on every level, and remember those winners by RDM.And in far more recent times remember the disgust I've felt when 'supporters' on here started showing him a lot of disrespect. He was, is, and always will be a club legend, yet fans decided he was a waste of time and had no managerial ability. Its this lack of respect that has overrun the supporter base, especially on here, in recent times, that my problem lies.

If you think Mikel offers little, that's fine, I haven't a problem, but when you speak of him as trash, after all he has given for my club, it shows that you are no true supporter. If you Dave had the privilege of being raised on Chelsea, saw the bad times, I would expect even more so you'd have more patience, ubderstandtung and respect for someone like Mikel.

Having an opinion on a player no matter how long they 'played for the club' doesn't mean I know very little about the club or that i'm not a 'true supporter' etc. all it is are just opinions. opnions where I backed up with examples to make a point.

im not picking on mikel for the lolz. I genuinely think he really is such a crappy, useless player and my past, not recent, obesrvations of him for the past years convinced me of that. you may think he's all 'loyal' to the club just because he's been there for a long time but let's be real here, nobody even wants to buy him lol. and he knows that. this guy is earning lots of money and all he has to do is jog around in front of the back 4 and 'try' to track and mark players along with just simply passing the ball sideways and backwards. earning that much money just by doing that and not having to play every match of course he would wanna stay lol.

you guys may not like what I say. but i'm saying these things as TRUE WAY a lot of people see it. when he comes on or he starts for us, especially when you compare the fact that luiz could have played in that position, then in terms of both defensively, offensively, and the overall rapidness of our play, it literally decreases big time.

you guys can call yourself true fans by simply supporting this negative player, but I consider myself a true fan for wanting him out. and what's wrong with a fan wanting a player out who thinks this player is harming his club? that is exactly what I feel hence I will say it. deal with it!

ELI my fellow chelsea supporter, feel free to make that ultimate reply to 'make me feel worse'. all it will be are mere words. I don't think it will affect me as much as it may affect you. no matter what anyone says, my opinions of mikel will never change. this guy is simply rubbish.
