Are chelsea interested in the defensive midfielder Manual Ugarte?

{Ed002's Note - Manuel Ugarte (DM) Interest of Leeds went when Sporting refused to negotiate a reduction in his buy out clause and now want to give him a new contract and increase it to ward off interest. Aston Villa offer an unlikely option as they look to adding a high profile player in the summer. Wolves are still keen with Spurs and PSG also having shown an interest but none will meet his €60M buy out clause and whilst Spurs may have moved on to other targets, they could yet make a take it or leave it offer. Arsenal, Chelsea, Barcelona and Newcastle offer further wildcard options and are keen. Liverpool have not approached Sporting who no longer wish to do business with the club after accusations of tapping up, but have spoken with Mendes, who is pushing a move to Spurs or Chelsea (as an option to Manu Kone). Representative Jorge Chijane has been told to have no further contact with Liverpool whilst Jorge Mendes looks to facilitates a sale.}

So many stories of klopp / Liverpool tapping up and upsetting clubs, why haven’t they been charged with something to stop it, I’m sure I read they done this to VVD and Werner,

There’s nothing like a DM with control, technic, adept both as a lone DM and can pair up in the middle as a double pivot (or double six) - Ugarte is just something: his technic, combative ability and tenacity is really admirable.
[When I watch Rodri (of Manchester City), i can’t just help but admire a defensive midfielder].

Truth is - there’s quite a handful of good DM/ CM targets in the market this summer, I hope our people make the right decision.

Depending on outgoings, maybe we might see two from the list of Ugarte, Lavia, Manu Kone, Caicedo and Mac Allister.

Wow, so we could get him then with Boehly seeming to have a good relationship with Mendes. Looks a very good player. He looks better and more suited than Kone. Would hope it would be him and another with a lot of midfielders likely going and Klopp is such a cheat lol.

Ed002 stated on one of the pages that Lavia is home-grown (perhaps, that could mean an added attraction to him) . With the availability of good DM/ CMs options in the market, maybe the price might be fair (that is if there’s need for clubs to sell) .
