Is Mudryk open to a move to us or still set on arsenal at this time?

Never seen him play but he is raved about.

The last thing we need is another wide player: who is he going to put it into the box to? In my opinion positions that need covering in order of priority; DM, RWB, striker, creative midfielder, top class keeper and a partridge in a pear tree….

It's no secret we desperately need a midfeilder and a striker but probably better to look at those in the summer. Rice is a must and an all around forward is a must too. This transfer does not mean were not signing a midfeilder, striker, keeper, Rb or cb.

Ed002, you have missed the point, I know nothing about the player concerned as I suspect nor do many other posters. My issue was positions that I believe need attention rather than a wide player. I pre-fixed it by saying “ in my opinion “. I did not abuse the player. I resent your reference to “vegetables “although you are entitled to your opinion that my post was tedious, just as I could say your response was predictable.

Extortionate demands that could be made for him. i think there are other better options for the value required for rice.
I don't know rice to be a kdb in assist nor a lampard goalscoring ability from the midfield but everytime most of you the English fans will be all over the place in raving about rice as though it's his entitlement to play for u. To the extent that tomb was constantly posting everytime here hiw we must get rice to replace kante even on the obscene amount required.
Imo he doesn't deserve such outlay. He doesn't offer much going forward either assist or goals from the middle which we have missed since lampard left. I also think we should get a better option for value for money. We need about 2 more new midfielders with different attributes to creative spark and good on the ball to try and help our attackers. Rice is just a dm who's not better than caiedo. So I don't really understand why you think he's a must when he doesn't solve any of our major midfield issues. Other big epl club's could have been all over him were he any good as you tend to hype him.
Please I will like to know what exactly you think he can offer this team. I will be disappointed if you go the way of tomb and gang like he's friends with Mount, leadership quality nonsense.

In previous posts you have said I want Kante to leave/ be sold that is totally UNTRUE. I want Kante to sign a new contract and stay at the club for the remainder of his career. Total rubbish.

I have NEVER looked for Rice to replace Kante as you put in the post above. Total rubbish.

I would like us to sign Rice and I think he will be joining us in the summer. That is because he in my opinion a fine player who will make us better offensively and defensively. It is also NOTHING to do with him being English and that’s another one of your recurring misconceptions.

Any fee for Rice is for the two clubs to decide as I can’t influence any fee, I don’t care about it.

“Who is he going to get it into the box to? ” Is an odd question. He’s not really a “get it into the box player” from the little I’ve seen. He’s an inverted winger / inside forward who comes inside to shoot or create.

There are three question for me:

1) how do we arrange all these players who seem to work best coming off the left? To Mudryk I think you can add Sterling, Pulisic, Felix, Nkunku…
2) Can Cucu learn to be as effective overlapping the inside left as Chilwell?
3) Who is going to stretch the play to make space - we can play the ball around at the back to draw a team on, but you need the option of pace in behind to stretch the opposition from back to front to create the half spaces for Mount and co, and the space for the likes of Mudryk to carry into.

In terms of what is needed, the plan remains width from full back, so a back-up to James is the most critical role, then a second Zakaria-type in midfield and/ or a more mobile Jorgi.

Ilo, there are other midfield roles which aren’t either assisting or scoring. Currently we lack someone who can win the ball back effectively in midfield which leaves our defence over exposed imo. A ball winner is needed.

Yes we also are missing creativity and the odd goal scoring touch from CM too but we’re not City and Pep who can have 3 no10’s as CM’s and get away with it.

ilo, how did Makelele get in the box and score, or assist? Or Mikel? Or Matic? Different skill set.

All the top teams are built around an "enforcer" (for want of a better term) Rodri, Fabinho, Partey, Højbjerg (lol Spuds), Tchouaméni, Busquests/ de Jong, Kimmich

Casemiro has changed United in recent weeks too and even added some goals.

Chelsea haven't replaced Matic and this base allows goal scoring/ assisting midfielders to do their thing.

While it might not be Rice we end up with, he seems to want to come to Chelsea and fits that mold of a holding mid.
