Hi Ed
Has Chelsea really made a move for Mendy?
I think he has many years ahead of him to improve and he's as good as Alex Sandro.

Source? All I've seen is that we've been asked to be kept informed doesn't sound like we've made a move.

Apparently city are on the verge of completing the deal for him though. And can't see us coming out of no where with the same bid/ higher bid. If true then Bertrand is really our last good option. Wouldn't be a bad choice but don't see him as much of an upgrade to Alonso. Reckon tomorow we'll find out.

Blueboy1, i presume that we all love Alonso, i love Alonso too (he did a good job last season) but looking at how other teams are fortifying towards winning trophies (esp EPL and UCL) we need more depth in wing back (esp LWB) and Central midfield position (if Matic leaves) - to stand a chance.

MY TAKE- QUICKLY MOVE IN FOR BENJAMIN MENDY.

Sandro would have been the perfect signing. But I have to agree that Mendy will do a job and become even better as he settles. However, if we are to go for him we would need to make an offer. Man City appear to be chasing the same wing backs as us. Interesting.

and jackson was right when he talked about kovacic (of real madrid) as a good option for central midfield position (if matic leaves) . though i doubt real madrid will be willing to sell.
