Read the thread below, don't quite understand half of it like. We've had a good start to the season, not sure why Maresca is mentioned negatively.
We all know our issues. We lack a world class centre back, we need better than Sanchez in net and our recruitment has been poor. All of that was before Maresca though.
Don't get me wrong, Poch did well at the end but he was also awful for months prior to that.
I'd say judge us around Christmas, once we've got this tough run out the way and let's see where we're at then.

I'd say we should be quite happy with how it's going so far this season. The defence is a bit leaky but once that gets sorted out we'll be looking good. Jackson looks to have gone up a notch since last season. Yesterday he had a really good game.

We are doing fine, Maresca is a huge step up on Poch.

Let's be honest, towards the end of last season you could see the squad starting to grow together highlighted by the performances during the run in.
We bought and sold players in the summer, some good decisions, some not.
At the moment, we are being held back and have dropped points because of our defense and GK.
I also will be interested to see how Maresca fares with teams and their low blocks.
We also need to remember we could easily have dropped points at home again yesterday do we should not get carried away just yet although it's nice to be closer to the top than in mid table.

And on the other hand we could of snatched a draw against Liverpool with that Veiga late chance and all 3 points against Forest with that miss from Nkunku Bill!

Agreed West Side we could have and should have taken all 3 points from Forest and Palace, Liverpool after watching their game back are not that great and we're there for the takin. Against Liverpool, they had 8 shots and scored from a quarter of them whiclch is mot great on our part.

Don't get me wrong it's easy to get carried away with where we are at the minute.
BUT! we will lose again and go through a bad patch. We aren't where liverpool, man city, and arsenal are at the minute. But we are going in the right direction.
Some of us have said for awhile it will take time and am telling you now it's going to take even more time.
We are looking good and some of the signings are starting to show good signs of progress so good on the sporting directors.
I would just say don't get too carried away with the praise but some of the so called negative Annie's you can give praise when it's due. Don't just look for a negative.

Agreed jsfinchy
As I previously said its nice to see us where we are rather than languishing in mid table but we have to give Poch credit as you could see the squad growing up towards the end of last season.
At the moment the attack and midfield are playing well apart from facing teams with a low block and I feel with Sanchez, we will struggle with our distribution out from the back. Poch refused to even pick Sanchez and I feel by now the penny should have dropped with Maresca.
By all means give Maresca the credit but also Poch deserves credit as well as he formed a team out of talented young individuals.

I didn’t want Poch sacks but I never wanted him as our manager.
I didn’t see him as a manager who developed players or who was strong enough to set the standards a young team need. I also think that like Southgate he is a loser. Poch who?

Billy boy, you seem to have a real downer on our head coach? Fair enough, it is a banter site but to say he has no answer for the low block is just another example of misinformation. We reguarly beat the low block but our finishing of the chances has at times cost us. And as for Poch, he is now manager of the USA and good luck to him but his track record is very poor when given the chance to win trophies. As others have said he is a serial loser.

I don't have a downer on him, I'm just not getting carried away as some are on this site.
As you say Poch is not a serial winner but neither is Maresca, at least not yet but that can be said of Poch as well.
What I said was that people could see that the young team we have was finally been moulded by Poch towards the end of last season.
With regards to the issue of the low block, it is clear that we are far more fluid away from home than playing at SB.
There is also a huge question mark as to why Maresca is persisting with Sanchez as our first choice GK when quite clearly every man and their dog knows differently maybe apart from yourself and Maresca.
As I have also stated its nice to be near the top of the league rather than mid table which is a plus for Maresca, at least for the moment.

Billy boy, read my posts before commenting with yet more misinformation. I have said many times our goalkeeper is the weak link.

That was not my point, my point was that Maresca who you think is a good coach and at this point I won't agree or disagree with your opinion, my point is that Maresca, haa not dropped him yet to a back up GK.
And can I ask what is the Billy boy for?
