Some time ago I predicted we'd get more points away from the Bridge than at it because of most ' lower' opponents employing a low block and defending for their lives. While we are still without a Drogba or Costa style no 9 who can outmuscle serried rows of defenders and can dominate in the air in the box.
And so far so true.
5 points from 4 home games ( 3 of them against a Brighton side who played as if they were at home and with extremely high line) . 9 from 3 games away.
And with Cucurella and Fofana picking up their fifth yellows they will now get a audpension. We are picking far too many cards its like we want to break a record.
Sanchez some superb saves makes him my. MoM. even if there was yet another occasion when he could have supplied an assist to Forest. We didn't play badly but just weren't quite sharp enough in or around the box though once Forest went down to 10 men and especially in thec13 mins of added tine the chances came and Nkunku failed to convert superb cross ( from Mudryk I think) that most genuine number 9s worth their salt would have buried. There were other chances that went abegging and Palmer radar not quite its previous nigh perfect self. Mudryk scored that nice goal but also missed other chances though often from tight angles. The less said about the header Felix missed the better . further out than Nkunkus but put ludicrously far wide. Again a zdrogba or Costa
Anyway my prediction pre- season was that we'd finish between 5th and 9th. I.
