I know a lot will still back him but I've personally run out of patience with Pulisic and his injuries. He's made of glass and to be honest apart from his 8 game brilliant streak he had at the end of the C.V. he's been really underwhelming. He also loses the ball a lot.

With the rumours of him in a swap for Sane I'd happily take it. Sane has had one bad injury but scored 6 goals and got 9 assists last season in what was a poor season for him and he got rotated a lot. He is also very good in possession and doesn't lose it as often as Puli. Sane is one player Tuchel could definitely get back to the player he was again.

Sane has been very poor now for several years both at City and Bayern under two very good managers.
Why would Tuchel or indeed the club want him?
In addition he wouldn't replace Pulisic positionally.

Why? What position does Pulisic play?

How about we support our players?

Strasbourg did you actually watch Sane at City? Take it you never after that comment he was quality even at a young age. Pep played him left wing and he shone but at Bayern they’ve tried to reincarnate him as Robben but Sane likes to play LW like an old fashioned winger. Just like Beckham and Giggs did at United under Fergie.

6 goals and 9 assists last season just in the league and that’s underperforming. That’s better than Havertz, Mount, Pulisic and Ziyech for us last season. I’d love to see him under Tuchel and I’d happily send Pulisic the other way. He’s unreliable and even when he is he needs about 10 games to get form back.

Agree with original post regarding puli. Unreliable.

I’m my opinion Pusilic, if he stays fit, is a match winner. He will eventually prove his worth to our squad.

I take it you haven't watched Sane in the last 2 years?
What relevance is his form three years ago got to do with his performance levels currently and why should that change?
He has been at two good clubs under two good managers and has gone down hill drastically.
We are trying to improve the squad not ship in players who for no apparent reason have lost there way.

I think Robben had a bad injury record for us. But given the time to figure his body out he managed just fine with Bayern who gave him the chance. Getting rid of such a young player of his talent would be short sited. Maybe give him another couple of seasons to develop as a person and player then see where he is at.

I watch a lot more football than you I can guarantee that.

You’re only as good as the manger who plays you and shows confidence in you. Look at Havertz under Frank and playing CM and what that did to him compared to what he’s like under Tuchel now.

Would Jorginho, Christensen and Rudiger play so well if they weren’t in a system designed to help their deficiencies? Ask yourself that.

Pulisic hasn't been able to stay fit for a long period of time through out his whole career, even back then when he was at Dortmund and if I recall correctly there concerns about his physical and muscular strength when we signed him.
A player that can't stay fit to play most games is unreliable in my opinion and with the style of play in England, that's a legitimate concern.

But that has nothing to do with Sane in my opinion. If we decide to go after him, it's not because we have concerns about Pulisic.

As for Puli, I like him but I am worried about his history of injuries which never allow him to get a run of games to play into form.
As for Sane from what I’ve seen of him I’m not keen. In any event, it is not a position we need to strengthen in at this stage.

Would help if we played him on the left, instead of the right.

Wouldn’t trade pulisic for sane. Even though pulisic gets injure quite often it has been within the busiest schedule we’ve had in many a year due to C.V.. Not many breaks or rest time between seasons. Pulisic is the most naturally gifted footballer in the team so wouldn’t want to see him leave.

So we are supposed to sign a player who has suffered not only a major loss in form at two big clubs with two excellent managers but bring him back to England after he decided he would be better off at home in Germany.
Plus of course he has had a serious injury.
And the clincher is to do this we get rid of Pulisic who is only 22 and one of the most talented footballers in Europe currently.
In terms of deluded analysis this takes some beating.

Some really good points in this debate which started around frustrations on Pulisic. Particularly by Eidur who pinpoints TT’s team shape which recognises the weaknesses of Jorginho and Rudiger, this has been particularly brilliant in Europe. Rudiger can only play in a three, Jorginho ( well followers on here know my thought on this player for PL duty) . The elephant in the room is TT’s PL results which last season were mediocre. Indeed with Villa coming up on Saturday, we all remember getting well beat on the last day V Villa who won with cigars in their mouth. It was awful. and only by dint of other results Chelsea got their top 4 finish, but finished behind a wretched Liverpool. It would be handy to give Villa a spanking at the weekend and would show Tomas is continuing to get a handle on the requirements to win PL games (particularly at SB, where Chelsea were far too cautious last season, but tbf you will be cautious and ponderous with Jorginho in your team) . On Pulisic, he hasn’t kicked a ball since the FA cup final V Arsenal. ( under Frank he caused mayhem playing on both flanks, cutting in and getting shots off, running beyond the back 4, most importantly scoring goals) He is a £60m player yet I am not sure what he is anymore, is he a winger (he can’t cross the ball) should he play on the cut-in, When he does he seems overrun and lose the ball. A false 9? A 10? He ain’t a 6. I think that could be his problem as to where does he fit in? I agree with most in here though. I wouldn’t sell him and I see no advantage in a swap for Sane.

He would fit in on the left of Lukaku who he could easily play off as Hazard did so effectively with Ollie.
The real conundrum is how Werner/ Pulisic can be used on a regular basis given Mount/ Rom/ Havertz being the preferred option.

The problem/ conundrum of fitting our attack minded players into the team would to a certain extent be resolved if we could find a way of playing a back four but under TT there would be no reason to change from a back three.

Don’t change what isn’t broken!

I think we are just better remembering Hazard as he was.

Wonderful and one of very few players who could just get you off your ar@e.
