Definitely looks that way antibot. And it's not going to be easy, Inter don't want to sell and Lukaku is apparently very happy at Inter.

Lukaku looks like our last remaining hope of signing a top, top class striker. Let's just hope the club can pull something out of the hat.

With or without a new CF imo there are two very winnable pots for Chelsea this season. ESC and WC. In fact if Chelsea donâ€™t win them both that for me is a failure. I am actually more concerned around Cobham still being choc a bloc with poor signings that are blocking the road for our YA players, and are being treated differently from our Chelsea home grown products. For instance that RLC (has to be at 150% to quote TT) and yet Ruben and TA are behind Ziyech in terms of selection beggars belief. Why is Ziyech getting all that slack? He has been awful. The club have now sold Livramento, loaned out Billy G and CG, will also almost certainly sell TA and all this business is with other PL clubs is causing me some concern. They still canâ€™t get rid of Emerson, Zappacosta, Kepa, Alonso (imo we can add Xiyech to that list) . As others have said even if the club could get Â£10m a piece for this job lot, that would be Â£40m toward a CF. Where I think Marina is correct is to keep the powder dry for the right CF, if the club cannot get the identified target from their shortlist then TT has to build around Havertz as a false 9, with TA coming in V the teams from the lower half of the division.

I think itâ€™s safe to assume the club will be busy in what remains of this window.

They can can only buy from willing sellers and can only sell to willing buyers. In this market itâ€™s easier said than done.

I must admit this quest to find a striker is getting boring it appears that the top oneâ€™s are not available because either their clubs do not want to sell and/ or the player does not want to move. There is nothing Chelsea can do about that. Also, it appears that everyone assumes that Timo will not score a lot of goals next season; I think he is a top player and there is no reason why he couldnâ€™t score 20 goals next season especially as the offside rule has been tweaked. Hopefully we will sign Kounde and a midfielder and get rid of some players. All is not lost.

Am sorry. I really like the bring youth through but! If it's true that Tammy wants playing time assurances for a new contract without putting 100% effort in then for me. He can be let go.

Look at the effort levels of mount when tuchel first came. He battled to show him he can't be dropped. If only everyone put that much hard work in.
