To all the people on Twitter and other platforms moaning about Kounde's height. He is an inch shorter than Carvalho and he is one of the best centre backs the premier league has seen. Puyol was 5'10. Kounde's brilliant in the air he has a fantastic leap. Very good in a back three or four.

Can't moan about Guehi as he wanted to leave. We move on.

At the back of my mind I’m thinking Willy Gallas was just about 6ft. He was some defender.

Cannavaro! Are these people going to tell me he couldn't play premier league football because of his height? I honestly thought we were past that mentality about CB's!

I'm a big supporter of the youth players getting a chance, but there's some (especially on Twitter) who blindly push for every player to break through. Guehi could have, was good enough, but wanted settled, guaranteed minuets. Good luck to him, we all move on.

Kounde is a great signing.

Height isn’t that important if the player is athletic has pace and positional sense. I take skill over bulk any day.

If Kounde is equally adept with his left then I’d play him as LCB and put Rudiger/ Christensen as the RCB where they’d be more comfortable.

Fuser, I’m definitely NOT saying he is strong with both feet. He certainly favours his right side but he doesn’t look uncomfortable with his left.

I honestly haven’t seen him much and don’t know much about him TomB except his height as that’s what everyone seems to mention when talking about him. It was more just my general point that I’d put him there if he was good with his left foot as it would allow whoever plays RCB to perform to their best too.
