Seem to be fewer people posting when we have an outstanding result rather than an odd blip?
And the Jorghino doubters had an answer tonight as to why he should play rather than a kid who has only had a few games.
A really outstanding result against a tough and cynical team that certainly aren't an easy touch.
TT got the tactics and player choices spot on and the subs made sense.
A great night's work by all concerned.
KTBFFH.

Don’t thinks so Strasbourg, maybe some different posters but that’s always good.

Jorginho was crap what did he do . he's shocking.

Not sure about TT starting line-up up top, think OG should have started as neither Werner nor Havertz offered much by way of outlet when we were under pressure for most of first half and fair bits of second. Mount, Chilwell and James stood out for me tonight though Jorginho did have that nice pass for Mount opener and was much better than against West Brom though a couple of silly fouls just outside our box in first half. Mendy and rest of defence solid tonight too.

I disagree Wheely but we all see games differently.

He wasn’t at his very best but in the second half he was asked to drop deeper to help out with the Porto press.

Control of the game wasn’t easy and at times it was a bit frantic but as always it’s the result that counts.

Wouldn’t get in any top 7 team bar us in prem he doesn’t do anything, I get why he was good in Italy due to the football being very slow but he doesn’t do it for me. Like we don’t pass back enough we also have him.

What is good about posters rubbishing the manager and some of the players after one defeat in 15?
And above we have an example even when we win a tough game that required everyone to contribute, that Jorghino, who had an good game and made an important goal is described as crap.

I don’t think anyone rubbishd TT after WBA game. Yes certain players were criticised, quite rightly. Those players are ones who a lot of posters don’t think have a long term future at the club and not just based on one game.

FGS. As long as it’s constructive then criticism is good.

When it gets personal about the manager or players it’s a problem.

If a poster thinks a player was poor or the manager made mistakes then they are allowed to voice there opinion.

Football is thankfully still all about opinions.

I don’t think Jorginho was that good. Kova was excellent. It was a good performance against a tough team . I felt a bit sorry for all our forwards tonight didn’t get much service. We still have to be careful next week though but I think we’ve done enough to get through.

Also Strasbourg, if you feel the use of the word crap is bad you should have jumped all over what Mount, Chilly, Tammy and others have been called.

Is there an argument the Jorginho's placement with the pass allowed Mount to take that touch, by playing it away from the defenders?

Agree with every piece of word you say in the above Jimbo. Strassbourg: Personally, I stayed away from this site after West Bro because I was that frustrated, so obviously I don't know about the specific words made by some posters on Jorginho, however, I will say that one match doesn't make a difference to me. I actually thought he was bad tonight v Porto (as goes for most of the team except Kova, AC and RJ imo) and the goal is all credit to Mount, but even if we agree that he was overall okay - and he has been good since TT arrived, admitted - then the bottom line is still that he is not a consistent, quality player, which is what this Chelsea team needs. The West Brom game once again showed the true Jorginho and his limitations in terms of PL football. To me, he is not good enough in the long term. I absolutely love TT, but yesterday's performance wasn't good but a perfect result. And criticizing certain players or tactical elements and decisions of the manager is definitely legitimate at any point in time, especially after bad performances such as the one in the weekend. It is not the same as asking for the manager to leave. But 2-0 c'mon U BLUES and TT.

If posters stay away when a manager gets criticism they would never come back.

Look at the pelters our last three managers got a various times. Even when Conte won the Premiership he got criticism. Some of the names Lamps got called was bordering on disgusting. Thankfully this site is pretty good at taking down those sort of comments.

I agree hermann, as long as it’s constructive, TT or any player can be criticised as far as I’m concerned.

Jorghino has been consistent with one exception and that was against Wbrom since TT arrived.
He has looked much more comfortable in TT system than Lampards and has made a decent contribution in the games he has played.
Do I think he is good enough to be in a PL title winning team no I don't but that doesn't make him crap/ useless etc etc either.
Pep wanted him at City and he would have gone except for Sarri.
Regarding yesterday evening he was nominated as the UEFA MoM and, several pundits rated his performance a 7.
I thought he did well myself under some of the most intense pressing we have experienced this season.
The last player I can recall being dismissed so regularly by so called fans was Obi Mikel who is one of the most decorated players in Chelsea history.
Many of the clueless comments come from people who have played more computer games than football and have little interest in the subtleties and complexities of the game.
Any set back is immediately attacked and usually blame is focused on a given hobby horse who usually attracts insults.
If people have opinions then back them up with facts instead of spewing bile about players they know little about.
In passing the win ratio with Jorghi and Kova playing is significantly better than any other combination.

{Ed077's Note - I'm not saying they are the same level of players but didn't Pep also want Fred (Man Utd)?

I would like to think you have defended previous managers and players when the disgusting “bile” was pointed in there direction Strassbourg.

There is no need for it but it would seem it’s the only way certain people can express their feelings.

I would point out again, that calling a player or manager crap is very pale compared to some of the disgusting comments made by some pathetic people.

I have defended numerous players and several managers over the years on various platforms.
I have also criticised players and managers when it is evident they are no longer capable of doing the job.
I wasn't keen on Lampards appointment and I thought he should have gone earlier based on results and his and his coaches inability to manage the squad.
But in saying that I acknowledge he did a good job in getting us into the CL and blooding some of the youth so overall he left us in a better situation which is actually quite rare.
I think that is a balanced view based on facts.
Player wise I have often spoken up for two of the whipping boys Alonso Jorghino and for Giroud last season when he was sidelined by Lampard.
The current 'thinking' re Abraham not being good enough for Chelsea is a bit ridiculous given the options and his goal to game ratio.
With very few exceptions I think we will struggle to sign a better striker than Tammy in the summer.
Surely people have seen that spending £200m on players from outside the PL is no guarantee of success and all we have really done in most cases is to improve the squad and not the first eleven.
Unfortunately it seems as if Tammy is likely to leave from what Ed002 has said.

That’s good Strasbourg.

As far as Tammy is concerned, he has an option to sign a new contract and he has been at the club long enough to know players don’t get guarantees at Chelsea.

I hope you continue to call out people who make personal attacks on players and managers.

I personally like the different opinions on this site and as always constructive criticism.

Onwards and upwards. I hope!
