To continue the debate about Tammy, the player who I see the most similarities to is Calvert Lewin of Everton. With his height, size etc etc.

The big difference between Tammy and DCL is Calvert Lewin uses his height, size and athelticism to his advantage. He never gives defenders an easy time, bumping into them, getting his body in front, chasing everything down etc etc. He just looks like a nightmare for defenders, even when he's not scoring it's usually his presence that creates goals.

Tammy just doesn't offer any of those things currently, and for his size he simply should offer more.

When it comes to scoring, Tammy will score goals. It just takes him 10 chances before hitting the back of the net, Calvert Lewin gets a chance and it's more often than not a goal. Especially with his head, Tammy is very poor in the air for someone of his size.

Obviously Tammy is still young, just look at Drogba for example. He didn't reach his full potential until his late 20s - early 30s.

I'm sure we'd all like Tammy to succeed, but when he's played he just hasn't offered us enough. But with how poor our other strikers/ goal scorers have been doing. You can't really knock Tammy, as in his time with us he's certainly done better than some of our current signings.

Very constructive post in my opinion Bobby. Most enjoyable.

I know he tries hard Bobby but he infuriates me so frustrating to watch
Whenever he needs to make a decision on or off the ball it always seems to be the wrong choice bit like sterling but sometimes he gets away with it like sterling
I think if we signed him he would be deemed a flop so far but because he is academy he gets less criticism
Has werner been any worse really both miss sitters
I think he is a good bench warmer at best for Chelsea and I don't think he will ever be Drogba or half the player Drogba was
I think he isn't anywhere near good enough for Chelsea and I think leaving would suit both parties tbh.

You're right, I've mentioned on here before that he needs to put some time in the gym. He's slacking, it's what's stopping him because he's a top quality finisher and when confident he can be world class.

I agree with what's been said. Another thing about Tammy that bothers me is that he very rarely seems to do any actual work off the ball. I cannot remember the game, I think it might have been Bayern last season, but I can recall a situation in which Tammy lost the ball, throwed his arms out to the side and basically stood still, which led to the opponent scoring. This was after Tammy was subbed on. Once again, unfortunate that I can't recall the exact game, but I still don't think it's an unusual sight with Tammy.

We all see things differently.

I think Tammy’s work rate is one of his strong points.

I think the last few games he played he was carrying a niggle.
