It increasingly looks as though Haaland is on his way to City.

But we still need a CF.

Who would we want? Lukaku / Kane / Andre Silva / Isak / Raul Jiminez?

Anyone else out there or should we stick with Tammy?

I like calvert lewin think he's a great striker I think Kane will go to Utd lukaku isn't wanted at Chelsea by someone on the board I think and don't know enough about the rest
I would definitely take Aguero for a season or two.

How come Haaland is definitely going to city? I’ve heard he wants 600k a week and no one will pay that.

I wouldn’t mind seeing how Havertz turns out as false 9 and get a winger actually capable of consistently getting goals and assists I. e Grealish/ Sancho.

MDW, I think the Tammy debate is slightly out of our control, apparently he wants certain playing assurances and that’s not going to happen.

I would like Haaland but a bit like you I think he is City bound.

I think the Eds said we have plans and I’m sure that will include lots of alternatives.

Whoever it is let’s hope it’s a good one or maybe two!

Worth bearing in mind Pep and Raiola had a major falling out over Zlatan who was rarely played despite Barcelona playing a big fee.
Haaland isn't a player that suits Pep style at City and I can't see him changing that approach for a 20 yo kid.
A player that would is Kane who is much more technically gifted and flexible in approach to the game and would fit in perfectly.
Plus of course Citeh have no problem scoring goals even without a striker most of the time.

I think the club could go in a number of different directions. If we can get a guy like haaland then purchase you him. If you can’t get him then you could keep Havertz as a #9 where he’s shown a ton of promise and purchase a rotational option in the likelihood that giroud and Tammy move on. My wish for the club is that we don’t buy just for the sake of filling slots as you end up with drinkwater and Zappa costa.

Yes it seems unlikely that we will get Haaland. I don’t fancy any of the other alternatives mentioned: all would be overpriced. I would take Aguero in the short term and wait and see who becomes available in the next couple of years: not ideal but we mustn’t waste money by panicking.

Unlike many of the posters I really don't want Haaland, not sure why, maybe it's his attitude or the big price tag involved, but my gut feeling tells me we are better of without him.

Obviously we would be able to dominate England and Europe with Harry Kane but it is a long shot and we haven't shown an interest as of yet. So I think DCL is the next best available option. That guy is a born finisher and he will improve us in terms of goals and overall attacking threat. He is also the kind of player that can form a good relationship with Werner, their playing style suit eachother.

Agree about Kane but that will never happen. DCL would cost a lot of money and to be honest I don’t really think he is the answer. I just don’t think he is top class.

If Manchester City has decided to go for Haaland perhaps, Chelsea should shift target to Lautaro Martinez.

I think Kane would do really well at City.

I think Kane would do really at most teams. His work rate, hold up play and vision for a pass are first class.

I'm not sure why you think Halaand is cry bound but in not ruling out Halaand joining this summer. pep don't pay striker like him so we're still in with that advantage. tge rumoured wage demands are just speculation.

{Ed077's Note - didnt Mino (Haaland's agent) come out and slam Pep recently? They (Mino and Pep) dont seem to like each other.}

For about the twentieth ilo time I want Haaland to join us.

I think if Kane was to leave Spurs he would be a perfect fit for City but I think it more likely if he does leave he will end up at Utd.

As far as Haaland going to City is concerned it’s just my opinion. If the club want him enough we may well pay the asking price but I just have my doubts.
