The Hudson-Odoi situation is a tough one.

I'm a big Lampard fan but if Sarri is good enough to get slated for not playing him so should Frank. Being a club legend will give him extra time from fans but Frank is worrying me so far this season. Callum's confidence must be so low especially after Ruben's disaster class against Brighton. Even Havertz must be wondering why he got moved out of position to accommodate Ruben.

What it has done has give Havertz two average performances so far and if he moves him out wide for someone like RLC again I'll be really would you or even for Mount. You Play you're best players in their best positions.

What I'm trying to say is just because he's a club legend he shouldn't be exempt from major criticism from fans. I was so excited for our line up against Brighton cause we've spent over 200 million but seeing Havertz out wide so he can fit in Mount and Loftus-Cheek as a winger and a 10 really annoyed me. We pay 70 million pound for a young star play him in his best position. Would have made more sense to go Mount, Havertz, CHO behind Werner.

Same went for Liverpool game. It's Frank who's always starting Kepa when Willy is at least average enough to be given the go ahead. Then Mount on the wing again. Kante, Jorginho, Kovacic midfield offer nothing they had one good game together in the super cup last season and that's it.

It's not good enough for me from Frank so the jury is out. Yes he has Ziyech and Pulisic out but CHO is our only proper winger and he still won't start him. If it was Sarri here the majority would be going mental now.

Just to clarify I'm a massive Frank fan and I never want him to leave but if he keeps picking poor line ups the pressure will amount and he shouldn't be exempt from criticism. Especially if Havertz doesn't get in to form.

Let's just hope we see a good line up against West Brom. COYB!

IMO every player has to prove themselves in every game and is judged for his overall performance at the end of season. Also every player should be p•ssed off when he is not picked to play. If they are not p•ssed off then my guess is we don’t want them.

The same applies to a manager, if they don’t win trophies or visibly progress the team then the club should say goodbye.

Lamps being a club Legend should make no difference.

Any manager will never make all fans or posters happy with his team selection or shape. He will ultimately be judged on results and that’s the way IMO it should be.

If the manager doesn't think the lad is putting enough effort into training then he shouldn't be starting games. It doesn't matter how talented he is, it sends the wrong message to other players and youth players looking to break though.

Yeah Ali is a good example . not a good and a lazy trainer, hence not in the team.

Players years ago would take a look at them selves, improve and fight for there place. Theses days they give up and want to move club. Players have to much power.

We're in a little strange situation with Frank because he's a club legend. In this case we're not only nursing young players to grow and improve us but also the coach. I often feel he's out of his depth and I also think we were fortunate for the top 4 last season due other rival clubs having a disappointing season. So this season, it's always my hope that we win but I nurse fear that we might struggle. New players need time to settle and even longer when a rookie manager is in charge of the settling in.
He might become an excellent coach later but I feel the pressure to win things every other season might just be too much to ask of his coaching experience which is becoming clearer to some.

Maybe to much power but there are lots of other issues surrounding some of these young players.

I know went in a bad direction when I was a kid but I was lucky I had a good family and friends to kick my backside and point me in the right direction.

The Sheff Utd manager says the least any player can give in MAXIMUM effort. He is spot on.

CBlue . i can see why you think FL has not done enuf . but the same can be said about CHO.
He needs to show day in and out in training . for every minute he plays . he has to give his all. these guys wear the chelsea badge . every second of their lives should be spent working hard to fight for a spot in the team.

I would be more dissapointed if FL took cho in the team when he didn't put the effort in training.

Having said that . FL has much to learn form managers like JM and Conte . to play with a team and players you have and still win matches . tactically he has been found out this season and last . and that needs some experience and work from his end as well.

Hoping for a good display from all today.
Good luck to all.
