To say we haven't had a preseason and half our new signings plus Pulisic were out, I think that was a good start.

Apart from RLC who looked a little off the pace and perhaps Kepa could of done better with their goal, there were loads of positives.

Defence looked OK, Kante and Jorgi were both really good. Mounts workrate was fantastic.

Havertz showed some nice touches, worked hard. Werner looked sharp, great pace, always moving in to space.

I tell you what, when we have everyone fit and they've had a few weeks to gel, we'll blow teams away.

What impressed me the most is the way Chelsea played when they weren’t in possession of the ball; falling back into a compact form- you could see they were disciplined about it. I strongly think a lot will get better with time.

Spot on Dan.

I think RLC is in trouble. I can't see where his next start is coming from. He had a bad game offensively and defensively he cannot compensate. Barkley made more of a contribution.

We'd of drew that game last year, so you can already see the progress in terms of not wanting to drop points and the desire to win the ball back.

Havertz before he came off lost the ball and sprinted the full length of the pitch to get it back. I think if all the players stick with that attitude and we bring in a new keeper we'll be 20pts better off this season.

Its so nice to have Kante back in front of that defence. I think our back 4 will take more confidence from that alone.

RLC, I just don't know what we do with him. I'd be more tempted to keep Ross at this moment in time, which I say with a heavy heart. If we could get 20-25m for RLC I think we'd take it.
