Someone give JT a call and get him back in our defence. He'd still do a better job than the clowns we currently have. Just how did our defence get this bad?

We've become soft like Arsenal, remember those years we used to thump them by 4,5,6 goals. We have no aggression or leadership in this team whatsoever anymore.

We can keep buying these young players all we like, but we need leaders to go with them. Liverpool have Henderson and Van Dijk, even United have Maguire. Someone who will put their body on the line for the team. We sadly don't have any of those players anymore.

If we don't address this defence, no matter how exciting it will be to see our new attacking players next season. It will be the same old story at the back, it needs addressing immediately before we buy anymore attackers imo.

It would take a miracle worker to make our current defenders competent but I would welcome JT back in any capacity!

The issue of defense is not JUST a personnel problem. We had these same players under Maurizio Sarri and we had the 3rd Best defensive record last season! So, this is also down to the coach. Lampard needs to figure out the systematic issues if he wants to compete at the top.

It would probably become a very Strange dynamic betweeen lamps and JT, if JT were to come. Shouldn’t mix plesure with business IMO.

I agree Shak but it seems to me as if the coaching staff rarely if ever, get the finger pointed at them!
