A question for fellow blues and would like the ends opinion too who do we realistically think our gk and defence signings will be if any
All this talk about deccan rice
Fabulous player but not sure he's the centre back we are looking for especially with ethan ampadu coming back who can play defensive mid or cb
Interested to see who realistically we can get that will be a major improvement on what we have
And we need a big improvement if we are going to start challenging again .
Its all well and good being able to pass but I would prefer someone who is going to organise and put there body on the line to save a goal .

GK - I'd like Maignan. Has more of a presence than Kepa. Cakir looks a prospect but again is he another Kepa. Wildcard for you, Brice Samba from Forest. I work in Notts and seen him a few times, very underrated.

CB - don't think Rice is the answer. Better CM than defender. We need a leader as well as a ball player. I'd be happy with Demiral or Upamecano. Again, Wildcard. Todibo, quick, good on the ball but perhaps a little erratic. One thing I will say is Tomori will become a great IMO. First season with us but he'll be an England regular.

My query is LB. Surely Chilwell at £80m is crazy. For me, bang average. Telles is better going forward and Tagliafico I've not seen much of. I think we go all out for Alaba or we stick with Alonso and blood Maatsen. Hernandez looks good but still young and not really proven.

Going to be an interesting summer. Again, these are just my thoughts.

It’s really tough to guess as it’s basically pissing in the wind based upon media speculation of players we’ve been linked with. At keeper I would like to go after Donarumma as he is in a spot where Milan need to extend him or sell him and Onana has been angling to leave Ajax. Both would be massive upgrades but the question is whether the club is willing to move on from the investment in Kepa. We’ve been linked with half of the left backs in the world but I will say that Chilwell hasn’t shown me enough to be 3X as expensive as Telles or Tagliafico who both are improvements and available. At CB we all are begging for a leader but there simply aren’t a ton of those guys in the world and the clubs that have them are certainly not inclined to sell them. I’d be interested to see Ampadu but can’t imagine him being a revelation which is basically what we need at the moment.

I prefer donarumma for GK, Diego Carlos/ pau Torres for cb and alaba / tagliafico for lb.
