Jorginho doesn't seem to get look in at the moment, and at 2-0 and kante going off Gilmour was on ahead of him. Times up maybe?

Gilmour is a talent but Jorginho is an established and experienced player; Gilmour isn’t at that level yet when we can rely on him for a whole season but Jorginho is. At this moment that points are vital, I would go with Jorginho even if the club were to sell in the up coming window. Jorginho should be starting the game against Crystal Palace and should have been playing all our games since he returned from suspension.

obinna I strongly disagree regarding Jorginho, since Kante has returned to his favoured position the whole midfield looks far more energetic and proactive.

I'm interested to know why you rate him so highly and why you would put him ahead of Kante in that position?

obinna, we've won 4 out of 5 games since the restart without Jorginho!

Jorginho fanboys are devestated at the minute that we’re better without him it’s a hard time for them so take it easy please guys 😂.

I don't see a future for Jorginho at the club. I think we're seeing the future of our midfield developing without him. Mount showing he's a genuine midfielder, not a ten. Gilmour doesn't have to be consistent over a season if Kante stays, he's an alternative to Kante and can learn a lot just from watching the great man. Barkley also begining to play himself into a future at the club and Loftus-Cheek competing with Havertz (potentially) further up the pitch. I haven't even mentioned Kovacic yet who is certainly in the conversation for our player of the year.

Chelsea has got FIVE substitutions to make in every game, yet Jorginho doesn’t get to play- that’s my point.

Besides I have never said play Jorginho ahead of Kante, no one changes a winning team. Atleast let him come in as a substitute if he’s in ‘Lampard’s plan’.

Obinna you stated that "Jorginho should be starting the game against Crystal Palace and should have been playing all our games since he returned from suspension. "

In which case where would you play Jorginho if you leave Kante as the DM?

Not looking for an argument I'm just interested in your point of view regarding Jorginho because for me he offers very little.

Yes L&P; Jorginho has got to start against Crystal Palace if Kante won’t be fit cos of the knock (suspected hamstring) he had against West Ham. I would start Jorginho ahead of Gilmour for that game.

I think Jorginho will be sold this summer. His a terrific player in a system that works for him. Not sure if the issues in his personal life have had an affect on him.

Unfortunately, we don't have a reliable defence or a competent GK that can save him when a mistake is made or due to his defensive frailty. I don't want to slate Jorginho because he was very important in the run of games that we won at the start of the season.

I think we are seeing Lampards's future vision. No.6 and two no.8's

Kante (Gilmour), Kovacic (Mount) Havertz (RLC) .

I suspect Barkley, Jorginho, Bakayoko and Drinkwater will all be sold this summer.

Hi Shak; your post is good but if Jorginho leaves, Chelsea has to bring in another midfielder; that is if Barkley will leave too (going by your post) . Forgive me, I don’t think Chelsea can bank on Gilmour as backup to Kante for a whole season ‘yet’.

There's other options there Obinna, Ampadu potentially coming back, Kovacic can play that role and James is more than capable in midfield too. But, I don't think Barkley will leave this summer.
