Chilwell? I just don't get all the hype. I have yet to see him play and think 'wow, what a player' - far more likely is 'wow, the guy can't defend'!

We already have 2 LBs who look good going forward but are dodgy defensively - apart from being 'home-grown', how is Chilwell any sort of upgrade (and certainly not at the prices being quoted)?

Agree I don’t think he’s any better than Alonso just faster. Alonso is 10x better attacking just slow.

Tagliafico is the one for me. He’s an animal and a leader and he’s available. Alaba would be my first choice but I doubt that will happen.

Don’t rule out Telles yet though as PSG have dropped out seen as they’ve renewed Kurzawa’s contract.

We can get both eventually but there’s not one available this window that I know of, I’d like to see us try Atletico for Gimenez though.

I agree in that he isn’t worth the prices being projected and although I think we desperately need an improvement at LB I would rather keep our two than purchase him at that price. There are a number of interesting options potentially in play between Alaba, Tagliafico, Telles, and Sandro.
