Purely hypothetical question here. If you could add one of Sancho or Havertz under the conditions that the price would be the same, who would you choose and why?

Tough question, I personally like Havertz having seen him play live quite a few times while I lived Cologne. His ability to play many positions is exactly what Frank would be thrilled to have for his tactical set up. He also fills a big hole in a creative #10 spot, while being able to interchange with Ziyech during any time of the match.

The 2 or 3 years of consistency is also quite impressive and his game should translate well to the Premier League.

I think, as a squad, we need a 10 more than we need a right winger. Ziyech, Pulisic and Hudson-Odoi are all capable of playing on the right - I think Ziyech playing as an inverted winger and James overlapping will be an important part of our attacking play.

Whilst capable as 10's both Mount and Loftus-Cheek talk about wanting to play as a number 8. Certainly for Mount I think starting from deeper will suit his game, late movement into the box etc. - and, for me, Loftus-Cheek is at his best when carrying the ball from deep.

Havertz just offers more, he's natural in the 10 role whilst also being capable on the wing and even as a striker.

Long story short - Havertz over Sancho for me.

Agree with all said by J and Matt-24. Have not watched hime enough, and there will be many better judges on this forum, but from what I've seen I think Havertz would be a very special signing for us indeed.

I feel like signing Harvertz in a sense is just like when we signed Hazard. Different type of players but Harvertz has the quality to step up to that level. When I watch him play he just has this flair and swagger about him that makes you feel like he would be top class in any league.

Still think Jadon is a great talent but he is priced out unfortunately, With what the team needs I think Kai would be the right call.

I’d personally take Havertz. Love watching Sancho as he reminds me so much of Hazard but he has growing up to do and Chelsea are in a good place at the moment, we don’t need the wrong headlines.

Havertz is class and his play looks effortless, glides across the pitch and can use both feet, arrives in the box at the right times, lovely weight of pass and can score every kind of goal.

Also seems more grounded, hardworking and humble! Reminds me a lot of a young Lampard. Would fit into the team easier than I think a big ego and price tag like Sancho would.

Bucking the trend - I'd go for Jadon Sancho. His record of assists and goals this season is phenomenal.

I truly believe that Sancho has it in him to be the new superstar a la Ronaldo.

Also, and I don't think this should be underestimated, he desperately wants to come to us.
